Retrontario’s primary mission is the preservation, research and exhibition of rare videotape recordings (1970s to 1990s) recorded off of any and all Ontario (and surrounding area) TV channels; footage which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. We also hope to create an ongoing oral history of this content through comments left below the videos. OHHHH my family and I used to go here ALL the time. I loved this placed and then suddenly it was gone...I'm from St. Catharines. Every time I drive by the Subway, I remember where TCBY used to be...R.I.P.
Miss this place.
It was a big deal when they launched in Toronto, several of the Blue Jays players at the time were franchise owners.
They're still around apparently. Can't remember when I saw one last.
Sadly the nearest one to me is in Grosse Pointe, MI
Can't say I've ever heard of them. Gotta go to Bolton, Whitby, KW, or Hamilton if you want to try.
I knew where one was 30+ years ago, used to be near a mall I went to, but never ate there. 😞
