I understand how you feel. I haven't seen my filipina wife for over 6 years. She went home for a few months to spend time with her family and while she was gone. I was diagnosed with cancer few months later and her green card expired while I was in hospital or health care center and now I live on social security disability benefits which is not enough income to sponser her to come back to usa to live here with me, and I can't physically fly there. So I may never get to see her in person ever again. But we chat daily on what's app. And praying for a solution to the problem with customs income requirements since I am not physical able to work anymore

The magic word is asylum, that’s all you need to say and they let you in.
