    Episode 1 RICE Protocol
    What is a RICE Prorocol?
RICE is an acronym for the four elements of a first-aid treatment regimen for soft tissue injuries: rest, ice, compression, and elevation. The RICE protocol is often used to treat injuries such as contusions, sprains, strains, dislocations, or uncomplicated fractures. The goal of the RICE protocol is to control inflammation rather than cure the inkury.

What js an Acute and Chronic Injury?
Acute injuries happen suddenly, while chronic injuries develop gradually over time. Acute injuries are often caused by accidents, such as a sprained ankle, broken bone, or muscle tear, and are usually associated with severe pain. Chronic injuries are caused by repeated overuse of muscle groups or joints, poor technique, or structural abnormalities, and can cause dull aches when at rest, swelling, or pain when performing an activity.

    What is a Frost Bite?
Frostbite is damage to the skin caused by extreme cold. It happens when the skin, nerves, and blood vessels below the top layer of the skin freeze. Rain, snow, water, and wind can cause the skin to cool faster, which may lead to frostbite. Wet skin and clothes can draw heat from the body even faster.
