Madvillainy91 thanks for reminding me what this was reminiscent of. The art is lush, vibrant, and chilling, rightly paired with the driving meloncholy the vocals provide. Easily takes me back to the same place as Quasimoto.
I’ll never forget the moment when my iTunes began downloading Jonti’s “Sine and Moon” album automatically due to being subscribed to Stones Throw’s podcast thingy. I was high, it was nighttime, when my mom would go to work, and I was free for the night to smoke weed in the garage and go straight inside to enjoy being stoned, as opposed to the usual walk around the park to get the smell off, go straight to my room, and be encumbered by anxiety about whether I’d get yelled at. Anyways, I just remember clicking play & being immersed in rhythm sticks and this sound I’ve never experienced, but felt so familiar. I was entrenched in mellifluous euphoria. Jonti influenced and inspired my approach to music creation. It’s so nice to have more content from my guy Danimals. That day I discovered him is so easily accessed through memory as it was so significant in my life. Thank you brother and keep doing you, I look forward to growing old with your music.
I mean, I'll agree that Dr. Seuss was on some things, but I'm not willing to concede that he went on anything this hard. Seuss was a lightweight as far as drugs were concerned, I bet.
Wallace Daniels Jr. I felt the same way, too! It seems somebody managed to come together the unorganized pieces in my mind and composed this masterpiece.
The video is pretty icky, so you win that award lol. The song was interesting and I enjoyed that you went all out on the creativity. I feel like I will have to listen to it without the video to appreciate the song. I was really distracted by the visuals and trying to figure out what I was looking at or the message that was being conveyed.
Getting heavy Fantastic Planet vibes from this video. I'm ready for this new Jonti album to drop.
