I don’t know if anyone noticed this, but it’s mentioned a whole lot that Qi Yan’s eyes are dead. Notice how anyone of importance has highlights/light reflections in their eyes except for Qi Yan! (The exception being when she was a child)
8 months later and i still love to revisit this animatic. it’s so chilling, providing just enough of a sneak peek to get you interested without major spoilers. the music - god the music, it’s so amazing. adds a cherry on top to an otherwise perfect animatic. jwqs will forever hold a special place in my heart as one of the most amazing reads i’ve ever had.

I can't imagine how long this took you, so many frames compared to most animatics, all of immense quality. I love how you drew young Qiyan, at the beginning of the book, there are so many time skips it's hard to imagine her age, but this really sent home how young she was when the masked person took her in. This is motivating me to keep reading, the spoilers I saw were made epic by you. Just have to get past the confusion with Xiao Die

Whenever I think about the ending to JWQS, I cry easily envisioning the life their gonna lead next, it takes a lot for me to cry but just reading about these 2 characters and everything they've gone through, makes me cry like an infant who got a wolf tattoo haha. I FINALLY FINISHED JWQS TODAY!!! AFTER 3 MONTHS!!! i had to shackle myself and restrain from watching this trailer because i was afraid there would be spoilers, so i saved it until i had finished reading Everything. now i can finally watch it. a little background story for those that are bored: i started reading this novel when my ex girlfriend and i mutually agreed for a breakup. it was also a lesbian relationship just like the main pair of jwqs. i started reading it to cope, because i heard it was filled to the brim with angsty slowburn. i did not expect that the main leads would actually be so similar to us both, and how much their love reminded me of what we used to have. a month later, we broke up as promised. the first week was painful for me, i was terribly crying. the second week, i tried to cope with it. the third week, i started realizing how unstable our relationship was. the fourth week, i was filled with disappointment towards her. the next few days (now), i finally finished reading this novel. the entire ride of this novel, worth 1 million words; nothing could ever compare to how i related towards it. the beginning of a wlw relationship, the ending (especially with qijing divorcing), the grief of moments you can no longer have, the anger... it was extremely familiar. i have so much respect for PDL, she truly is a great author. sometimes, i even felt like i was third wheeling in the novel. the writing is amazing, and you can easily find yourself being absorbed. i also have to thank meltsmelts for translating this novel. if it wasnt for you, i probably wouldve been in a worser state. if any of you are in a similar situation, or is just planning to give this novel a read, definitely go for it. this novel is worth it. one thing that really stands out to me is PDL never misses to give each of her characters love. she expands the details and the influence that the character has, and it makes you think, "wow, this author has thought everything out. there really isn't a cannon fodder". and to think PDL got in a huge injury while writing this, but still managed to push a 7700 words chapter.... if that isnt hard work i really dont know what is. which is why im saying, Read JWQS If You Have Good Taste.

i started reading this novel when my ex girlfriend and i mutually agreed for a breakup. it was also a lesbian relationship just like the main pair of jwqs. i started reading it to cope, because i heard it was filled to the brim with angsty slowburn. i did not expect that the main leads would actually be so similar to us both, and how much their love reminded me of what we used to have. a month later, we broke up as promised. the first week was painful for me, i was terribly crying. the second week, i tried to cope with it. the third week, i started realizing how unstable our relationship was. the fourth week, i was filled with disappointment towards her. the next few days (now), i finally finished reading this novel.
the entire ride of this novel, worth 1 million words; nothing could ever compare to how i related towards it. the beginning of a wlw relationship, the ending (especially with qijing divorcing), the grief of moments you can no longer have, the anger... it was extremely familiar.
i have so much respect for PDL, she truly is a great author. sometimes, i even felt like i was third wheeling in the novel. the writing is amazing, and you can easily find yourself being absorbed.
i also have to thank meltsmelts for translating this novel. if it wasnt for you, i probably wouldve been in a worser state.
if any of you are in a similar situation, or is just planning to give this novel a read, definitely go for it. this novel is worth it. one thing that really stands out to me is PDL never misses to give each of her characters love. she expands the details and the influence that the character has, and it makes you think, "wow, this author has thought everything out. there really isn't a cannon fodder". and to think PDL got in a huge injury while writing this, but still managed to push a 7700 words chapter.... if that isnt hard work i really dont know what is.
which is why im saying, Read JWQS If You Have Good Taste.
