- How to cut your jeans! I got these vintage jeans off Grailed for $12 but they were way too long for me. I just folded one side under to get the right length, then marked it all around, drew a line and cut that ish off. Then I used some sandpaper on the edges to distress it a little. Try it and let me know how it goes!

Eric! My man. You are hands down the most stylish guy on the internet. Keep it up dude.
Love from Scotland 🏴
Wow thank you so much! Really appreciate the love. Happy to have made it over to Scotland. Trying to really grow on this platform - I'm trying!
I’m blue collar and I dress based offf of your looks being a crane truck operator is cool but looking like a chump is not one of the things I want to stand out as. Screw the stack keep it flush looks awesome I do it too.
ayyyy appreciate that! Most blue collar guys make fun of the way I dress lol but it's all good...I don't give a fck. The guys on my job site always break my balls ha But happy to hear you're getting some inspo from my looks! I used to want to be a crane operator!
I’m from Texas and most people who wear western jeans buy them 4 inches+ longer for stacking - It looks sloppy in my opinion. Keep on kicking ass, my guy. Your outfits rock 🤘
It's refreshing to hear someone from Texas who appreciates my style and the way I wear things - most hate on it LOL And I'm with you - I think it looks cleaner without the stack as well! I get the whole - there's a reason for the stack if you're at work, which I get - but I'm not dressing to saddle up LOL Thanks for the love!
There's a reason for the stack. The symbol of an actual cowboy
Could you make a video recommending your personal favorite cowboy boots?
yes! I am going away with the family next week - actually to be a part of a cool western themed photoshoot, but when I get back I will add that video idea to my list to work on! I've actually been wanting to do this topic!
So the stacking wonderfully works when it's a slim cut jean as opposed to a baggier fit. And what ultimately makes the difference is the weight of the jean. Let's say a 12oz jean that stacks just looks really bad, looks sloppy. Now when you stack jeans that are 16oz in weight it holds it's shape thus making them look better. It's one of the reasons why wranglers look good when you stack them. Their cowboy cut jeans are 14.75oz .
Interesting! And makes complete sense. Yeah these jeans are very thin and flowy - they're vintage and have more of a vintage vibe. I have Wrangler Cowboy Cut Original Fits that are heavier and I love them but I'm still not a fan of the stacking on those. I don't mind it on other people I just personally am not a fan. Although I'm tempted to try it with a pair of the Wrangler Cowboy Cut Slim Fits, just to appease all my cowboy friends who are giving me shit for not stacking LOL And then watch, when I do stack, they'll say, why are you stacking - you're not a cowboy! haha
@@EricWertz ahh so true, lol. We can't please everyone. But hey, your outfits are always on point.
I have a few pairs of the Wranglers OG cuts (Slim & Boot) the slim is where it’s at with stacking. Looks so good when the denim weight/hang is money! 🤌🌶️🌶️
@@EricWertzaye man do u... we know you aren't a cowboy. You just like the fashion. Staked jeans serve a very specific purpose
Those your Laredos? Do u use mink oil? Have a pair myself but they aren’t as dark as yours - debating trying mink oil to darken them up.
Yup! Good eye. Yeah they're the Laredo Birchwood. Nope I've never done anything to them. To be honest they're probably just dirty LOL These are my go-to for more casual or rugged vibes or if I'm going somewhere that might be muddy or doing a decent amount of walking. They're comfortable and I don't mind beating them up a bit compared to some of my other boots that I have, so if they look darker or more weathered than yours thats probably because mine are more worn in? Have you had yours long?
Thoughts on burning the hem?
Yeah a few people have suggested that on another pair of pants that I cut. I might try it!
Real cowboys like the stack because when you get in the saddle, the pant don't rise up. But, I don't think you'll be riding right?
yup I am now aware that there is a reason behind it lol Nope, no riding for me, just dressing for style and wearing my pants how I like them. When I go to work I'm in Carhartts and I'm not giving a sh*t about the length of my pants, so I get the whole reasoning of having longer pants for work purposes!
I like it shorter I. The front and like an inch longer in the back
Interesting. So you cut them on an angle or is there a clear break from the front length compared to the back length?
@@EricWertz yes if a cut em I cut them on an angle because I feel like it looks better
Hi Eric, what model are your jeans? I like that high rise. Love your style.
Thanks so much! I love the high rise too. A lot of people are not a fan, but I love the high rise and how it gives a vintage vibe! These are actually vintage! I got them from Grailed for $12. The listing on them said "Vintage 1980s Code Zero Bootcut Faded Cowboy Denim Jeans" although I've tried searching for them and had no luck. If you find a similar pair let me know!
love the look without the jean stack
Thanks so much!
Was better before
Some people like the before, but it was too sloppy looking for me, especially with this lighter weight denim. I don't mind the stack on some jeans, but with these it was looking too sloppy. I think it looks cleaner when they fall perfectly at the boot!
U didn’t stack them right
What do you mean? I didn't try to stack them, they just automatically stacked because they were too long, but I wasn't a fan so I just cut it off. I prefer my jeans to fall perfectly at the boot. It looks cleaner. But for my knowledge how do you suggest someone to stack correctly? lol I'm all ears!
What jeans are these?!
I got them off Grailed for $12! They were called "Vintage 1980s Code Zero Bootcut Faded Cowboy Denim Jeans" but when I search that I don't find anything similar. I keep getting asked about these jeans! I'll have to search around and see if I can find a brand that's similar to these. When I do, I will share! Let me know if you end up finding anything similar if you try searching
How about leather pants of too long length, bruh?
Ah man I would leave that to the professionals! lol I have a pair of leather pants that are also too long that I have to take to the tailor to get hemmed. I would bring them to someone to get hemmed!
@@EricWertz Haha, it's ok I just make a joke, and I also have my fit black leather pants too. Love you, my man. Thanks!
That looks stupid!
What does? The jeans or you don't like the outfit?
That stack with baggy jeans is a no go my guy. It’s done with slim/straight and even some boot cut jeans.
This is just metro dress up cowboy style.
