Stuck Wiper Arm - Easy Removal Method

  • Having trouble removing a stuck or seized front windscreen wiper arm ?. Here’s a simple way to remove it using just a locking pliers. Using this method you don’t need to risk damaging the linkage by levering up the spindle and hammering at the thread like with some other methods. This method should work on most front wiper arms, but not all of them. Be careful not to use the glass for leverage as this could put pressure on the glass and break it, especially on rear wipers. Thanks for watching. Please comment, like and subscribe.

One minute later, RESULTS! Sending back the puller today. Many thanks for the quick, cheap, effective tip!

I'm trying to remove the black plastic debris shield thing. Because after sitting 3 years my 2004 rusty jeep grand cherokee was invaded by mice, and squirrels which builr nests and also deposited they're nuts, leaves and packed it underneath. Plus all over the engine bay. So the wiper arms had to be removed in order to remove it and clean out the packed mouse house. So after 20 minutes of pb blaster and ready to HULK SMASH 💪 with my hammer I searched and thankfully found the solution. I even have the identical Irwing Vise Grips and hex bit. You made it simple and you prolly save a windshield too.
Great idea and thanks for posting this. Perfect 👌 👍🏻

Think you so much! Would never have gotten the arm off without this video. The wiper motor was going, and if I moved one arm the other moved too. The linkage from the motor the the rest of the arm linkage had popped off. Lubed it up and popped it back on (rust and debris had probably caused it to fall off initially).
Anyway, thank you, hope this helps others too

Excellent, worked easily after a pry bar was to no avail despite having sprayed Free All on it first. Then put on a generous coating of anti-seize before putting it back together so it will be easier if I need to do it again. But one thing, you could have used a cheaper coin, those might be valuable.
