    Yes, I also make my own for both saltwater and freshwater (Discus). When I have big frozen chucks, I use my gryphon c-40 to cut it quickly..
    thanks, Ron

    I make my own food since I saw your first video about homemade food, didn’t want to use my personal food blender so I cut it up by hand. Fish and coral love it

    Great video. I have not gotten to the point of making my own food mixture with a meat grinder but I to purchase seafood from some local stores along with nori. I like to feed clams both live and frozen along with frozen shrimp and squid. My puffers love the shrimp and clams and its a lot cheaper to feed my fish when I go to the seafood market. I also raise live white worms and feed those once a week at least as they are easy to raise and keep in a constant supply.

    I used to do this for my 240g cichlid tank. But I would put them into ice cube trays, for a convenient serving size.

    More nori. Add one of the coral powders. Great combo food! How much do you feed per 5-10-15-20 fish?

    Never tried making my own but I will since buying a pack of LRS is like $25 and lasts very short time. Great info. Looking to buy Acros from you but they seem to be sold out all the time.

    Wow . That looks like a lot of work. What’s the cost and how long does it last. I guess it easier to do this once than to feed all the food every time.

    @FishOfHexAquatics so I’d like to find a meat grinder that can handle frozen more than the typical room temp grinned meat. Could you post a link or share the brand of the grinder you have. I’m Definitely going this route moving forward on fish food prep. Thanks in advance.

    Great video! Would have liked to see it being fed. Do you just break off a small frozen piece when it’s time to feed? Do you thaw piece or just throw into tank? Thanks for all you do!

    Many thanks, Travis, for all the videos. I've been one of your followers for quite some time now. I wondered where you get Aquavitro Fuel in bulk or larger sized containers? If say I can't get Fuel would you recommend Reef Plus as an alternative amino for coral health?

    • @FishOfHex
      @FishOfHex  5 лет назад +1

      Haven been able to get it in bulk yet ebay would be your best shot at that. Reed plus works great of you can't get fuel

    I would like to point out, that for someone like myself who has bin in the restaurant industry for 10 years. These items will not go bad if they thaw for at least 1 hour at room temperature. Also it is a terrible idea to use your meat grinder with frozen food as you will over time put wear on the motor. They are not designed to grind frozen foods they are made for thawed foods. And frozen foods on them may result in over heating of the motor.

    • @FishOfHex
      @FishOfHex  5 лет назад

      Its one of three meat grinders and is on its way out the door. Not interested in saving the motor
