I know of popstars and actors subjected to more intrusive veryfication questions than Harry and Meghan, despite not having accused someone of racism or assault. I feel a lot of people are too gullible when it comes to Harry and Meghan. After all the claimed high speed paparazzi chase in New York was found by the police not to have been so, thereby proved to have been widely exaggerated, significantly undermining the credibility of the Sussexes. That some people take the Palace's silence on the claims as confirmation Harry and Meghan is right in their claims, frankly scares me, cause the best action when being falsely or inaccurately accused is to say nothing. Cause the claimers then either must be lying, their memory is mixing facts from something else, or they either are exaggerating or have a different perception of the incident. Either way the best strategy is not to say anything until you know for certain the what, when and where related to the allegation. Cause if people are lying, they could continue to lie, and you end up not being believed when speaking the truth, cause people would think: yeah, you would say that. If they have mixed up facts, they could come to recall them better - and you would appear ruthless and cruel for attacking someone for mixing up, or not recall in detail a traumatic event. Should the accusation be exaggerated, the less you connect yourself to it, the better. Cause the more details you provide, the more they can be exaggerated by the claimer. Therefore, as any good lawyer would advice you, you don't say anything until you either are in court, or the when, who, where and why are known and confirmed in detail, then - but only then - to you present your recollection or perception of the incident in question. But since the royal family (with the exception of Harry) don't sue, nor do they attack each other openly in the press, we shouldn't be too surprised they have not responded to the accusations directly, but instead sit still and hope they will blow over. Take the story about Harry dressing up as a Nazi for a costume party, that could stem from the press being tipped off by, or shown photos of Harry in that costume afterwards. If you look neutraly at the situation, we on one side have the Sussexes who make statements in and responds to questions in media settings they have control over, making claims which have harmed the relation between the UK royal family and the UK people. The claims made being that Harry and Meghan have been treated unfairly, Harry by being sacrificed in the press to shield his older brother, Meghan by being subjected to racism. In regard to the latter there is no doubt that certain elements of the press and many comments have been racist towards Meghan. But the claims that the Palace should be behind these attacks are unsubstantiated. As anyone with a little bit of media knowledge will know, it is impossible to control the media. Regardless how neat and packaged a story you manage to publish through a paper TV network, you have no guarantee how that story will be followed up afterwards. Worse case scenario the Palace could risk getting two damaging stories in the press, instead of one, if they tried to suppress one story by providing another. Cause even if the medium they provided with the second story was happy kill the first one. Other outlets might get wind of it. As anyone familiar with media knows, negative stories get to the press for mainly two reasons: someone wants to achieve something, or someone wants money. So as long as there are people who know aspects of the story, the risk it could get to the media is significant. Therefore what you do when you want to prevent a story from breaking is not to provide a different one, but take control over the story by getting the key involved to tell the same story, a version close enough to the actual story to be believable, but without the damaging elements. If you are going to kill a story by providing another, the people involved in the the latter story have to be aware and in agreement with being so. Cause you don"t know how other media will approach the story when it breaks. So unless all the involved are on the same page, it could seriously backfire. As I said in my original comment, the Palace neither sue over stories or allegations, nor attack members of the Royal family openly in the press. Therefore Harry and Meghan safely can make claims that undermines the reputation of the Royal family. And therefore I find it very suspicious they don't subject themselves to the general press and media when making claims. I had a great relationship with my father and nothing got in the way of he and I meeting up somewhere in the world. I called him every day no matter where I was in the world and some times it was in the middle of the night and he always answered cheerfully. When I was home nothing changed we still talked every day and when he was busy he would stop to talk. This wasn't only with me it was the same with my 4 brothers. It is also about setting boundaries and sacking people if they go outside those boundaries. The problem with Charles is he appears weak. William seems to have more mettle. As for the younger brother, after his book and recent statements, he can flog off and make his way in Lalaland. In that world you're only as good as your last gig and whatever you're worth to the people you're dealing with.

We should be very careful to assume we know who owes who an apology in the royal family. At the end of the day we only know what has been reported in the media. And while the Palace mostly have given statements and answered questions in and from the general media, Harry and Meghan have made their most controvercial statements in media they to a large extent control and dictate - autobiography, their own Netflix docu series and a cosy interview with Oprah Winfrey. I know of popstars and actors subjected to more intrusive veryfication questions than Harry and Meghan, despite not having accused someone of racism or assault. I feel a lot of people are too gullible when it comes to Harry and Meghan. After all the claimed high speed paparazzi chase in New York was found by the police not to have been so, thereby proved to have been widely exaggerated, significantly undermining the credibility of the Sussexes. That some people take the Palace's silence on the claims as confirmation Harry and Meghan is right in their claims, frankly scares me, cause the best action when being falsely or inaccurately accused is to say nothing. Cause the claimers then either must be lying, their memory is mixing facts from something else, or they either are exaggerating or have a different perception of the incident. Either way the best strategy is not to say anything until you know for certain the what, when and where related to the allegation. Cause if people are lying, they could continue to lie, and you end up not being believed when speaking the truth, cause people would think: yeah, you would say that. If they have mixed up facts, they could come to recall them better - and you would appear ruthless and cruel for attacking someone for mixing up, or not recall in detail a traumatic event. Should the accusation be exaggerated, the less you connect yourself to it, the better. Cause the more details you provide, the more they can be exaggerated by the claimer. Therefore, as any good lawyer would advice you, you don't say anything until you either are in court, or the when, who, where and why are known and confirmed in detail, then - but only then - to you present your recollection or perception of the incident in question. But since the royal family (with the exception of Harry) don't sue, nor do they attack each other openly in the press, we shouldn't be too surprised they have not responded to the accusations directly, but instead sit still and hope they will blow over. To me it looks like Harry and Meghan with the many not so vailed accusations have started a media campaign to undermine the confidence in the UK royal family. Why? Do they hope to replace them, perhaps?

A cosy 50 mins interview with Oprah Winfrey, an autobiography and their own Netflix documentary the Sussexes have full control over. So when you claim the Palace attacked Harry and Meghan first, your only source for that is their own claims. Take the story about Harry dressing up as a Nazi for a costume party, that could stem from the press being tipped off by, or shown photos of Harry in that costume afterwards. It is very unlikely to have come from anyone representing the Palace. For historic reasons Nazis is a sore subject for that family, as you probably know.
If you look neutraly at the situation, we on one side have the Sussexes who make statements in and responds to questions in media settings they have control over, making claims which have harmed the relation between the UK royal family and the UK people. The claims made being that Harry and Meghan have been treated unfairly, Harry by being sacrificed in the press to shield his older brother, Meghan by being subjected to racism. In regard to the latter there is no doubt that certain elements of the press and many comments have been racist towards Meghan. But the claims that the Palace should be behind these attacks are unsubstantiated. As anyone with a little bit of media knowledge will know, it is impossible to control the media. Regardless how neat and packaged a story you manage to publish through a paper TV network, you have no guarantee how that story will be followed up afterwards. Worse case scenario the Palace could risk getting two damaging stories in the press, instead of one, if they tried to suppress one story by providing another. Cause even if the medium they provided with the second story was happy kill the first one. Other outlets might get wind of it. As anyone familiar with media knows, negative stories get to the press for mainly two reasons: someone wants to achieve something, or someone wants money. So as long as there are people who know aspects of the story, the risk it could get to the media is significant. Therefore what you do when you want to prevent a story from breaking is not to provide a different one, but take control over the story by getting the key involved to tell the same story, a version close enough to the actual story to be believable, but without the damaging elements.
If you are going to kill a story by providing another, the people involved in the the latter story have to be aware and in agreement with being so. Cause you don"t know how other media will approach the story when it breaks. So unless all the involved are on the same page, it could seriously backfire.
As I said in my original comment, the Palace neither sue over stories or allegations, nor attack members of the Royal family openly in the press. Therefore Harry and Meghan safely can make claims that undermines the reputation of the Royal family. And therefore I find it very suspicious they don't subject themselves to the general press and media when making claims. Media with both the means and motivation to try to find verification for the claims they seem to shun, in favor of autobiographies and docus they have full control over. That lowers their credibility significantly in my eyes. And also make me wonder if they are actively working to undermine the Royal family, hoping they will become king and queen instead.
