I remember the 2015 postseason. My dad has and seemingly always will be what we now call a "doomer." I suppose that has rubbed off on me, the 2022 season was really the only one where I consistently felt optimistic about the team. Anyway, I was in middle school, and I just remember the postseason not even feeling real. The fact we even made the playoffs was just like, "woah, that can happen?" and I remember having the worst feeling after they swept the Cubs. As for the actual World Series, I genuinely can say I only really remember the inside the park home run. That play kind of set the tone for the rest of the series for me
I still have my "The Pennant Will Rise" shirt. I wore the fuck out of that throughout high school. I hope to see the Mets make a real postseason run again sometime soon. With the new ownership, that's definitely more than a possibility than it ever was most of my childhood. LFGM
