Great series guys, this really helped me decide to stick with Enerdrive and what my needs are, so I just bought my second (enerdrive) system spending 8k for a canopy build, my first system cost 5.5k and sold second hand after 5 years of use for 3.2k. I'm also building an offroad caravan with a monster enerdrive system in it. It really is awesome gear, my 1st system did the Kimberly and Cape York which seen everything else like the car fall apart but the enerdrive system did not miss a beat in 5 years. Love your channel guys!
Really enjoyed this series gave us peace of mind for our new van that is currently being built. We were told we didn't need an enerdrive system but we stuck to our guns and are pleased that its happening. Have enerdrive in our vehicle and love it 😀😀😀😀 now just need the van
Another great clip, Have use thought of doing one on how to stay fit on the road. The wife and i hopefully will be touring for about 4 months next year, and have been wondering what exercises we could do.
thanks heaps, for posting this series. very informative. with the last question in part 3, (using a dc-dc charger with a caravan) can you confirm where it would be best to place the dc-dc charger? in the vehicle ( close to the vehicle battery) or in the van ( close to the van battery) also what is the best isolation on the vehicle battery, so the starter battery is not flattened, when vehicle is not running?
i can answer yes it is dangerous using smaller wire i bought a 300l/m compressor and connected it to my car with light wire not fused and tried to pump up my van tires when the compressor slowed i went to check and was stunned to see the car on fire from the front to tail lights and around the fuel tank thankfully was able to put the fire out but it cost a pretty sum to get the car rewired
Perfect series guys! So good that someone like yourselves is doing this to help all of us who are looking at travelling! Thanks heaps! Phil
Glad you enjoyed it 😁😁

We sure have! I (Miriam) would love to do one - just have to convince Chris 😉
Hi guys great series. In America they have auto car start units that start the car and charge the auxiliary batteries. Are these available here?
Sorry, just saw this comment! I don’t think we have that here, no.
Spotted you guys at the sugarland tavern.
Great pub😁
Wanted to say hi. Wasn't going to interrupt your lunch. Hopefully see you around town

We will answer this in our next little series 😁

Oh wow! That would have been a huge fright! 😮
So are all panels compatable with lithium? I'm mainly talking about older +5yrs solar panels. Or is it as simple as using a decent MPPT?
It’s the controller, not the panels. So older ones would be fine 😁
More please thanks
We will try! 😁
Vans need to go to 24 volts.
Why?
@@AussieDestinationsUnknown higher volts less amps. Smaller cables on a big system, less weight.
Yeah I get that but then it needs to run a step down. Not sure if it will save much weight at all
A lot of fridges ,lights and USB outlets will run off 24volts as wwell as 12.
