Today I received a shock in a football match by non other than simply hitting my knee on the ground. It was quite a surprising experience. My vision got all bright, as if the intensity of sun had increased. My hearing ability got down and was hearing something like "eeeee". And of course, I was dizzy as hell. But recovered after I stood still for a while
Remove the bandage if blood goes through? I heard you should just apply another dressing on top so that any clots that have already been formed won't disappear.
I'm autistic so this might not be a valid question, but a crash from an adrenaline rush from an accident could look like shock, or is it a minor shock? 🤔 Thank you for the information
Can "Shock" be applied to someone who is a witness or experienced something traumatic (More mental than physical) You mentioned all physical reasons someone could go into shock, so I feel my assumption of shock could be incorrect.
bandages? I was told you were supposed to jam balls of hemostatic gauze into the wound and then put a compression bandage over it.....mind you these steps were usually after a tourniquet conversion.
Back when we where all jumping off a cliff into the water, I landed wrong and broke my collar bone. I’m just glad my step dads a medic and my uncle is a life guard 😅
I'd say there is not much you can do. Turn their head to the side so that if they were to vomit (blood or other fluid), it won't choke them. Pray that the ambulance comes soon. If the shock develops rapidly and gets more severe, there's nothing a first aider can do sadly.
Most First Aid info is also behind on the use of the modified Trendelenburg position (ie laying flat with feet raised) for treating shock. It is no longer an acceptable practice to treat shock in this manner. The data indicates that raising the feet does not significantly provide enough of a rise in BP to treat shock and raising the feet may, in some patients, cause more harm.
My hand got ptsd since a practice nurse failed with the needle and stabbing me through the bone several times, damn whenever i saw a needle it kinda giving me uneasy feeling between the joint
I can prescribe you to Doctor Oseiwe who cured me from Diabetes and Asthma, you can also get in touch with him on RUclips channel Doctor Oseiwe, if you need help and be cured completely🇱🇷❣️.
Notice it's a folding chair not a table chair......needs to be able to be portable. Lolol. In all seriousness I was thought through a high school class if they DON'T have any injuries to there legs you can carefully elevate there legs 12"- 18" using books.....a full back pack....jacket..............or your emergency folding chair

Please don't. I suggest you search for "Trendelenburg myth" Johnson S, Henderson SO: “Myth: The Trendelenburg position improves circulation in cases of shock.” Canadian Journal Emergency Medicine. 6(1):48-49, 2004.
You are not supposed to cover them with a blanket as it would cause vasodilation which will lead to more fall in blood pressure. Please do not give wrong instructions in a matter like this.

My mother got spinal injury shock, thank god i did everything right while my mother guide me.
Your mother suffered a Cervical Spinal Injury? If I’m correct the paramedics used a large kit with the word “Immobilisation”?
Remove the bandage if blood goes through? I heard you should just apply another dressing on top so that any clots that have already been formed won't disappear.
that is correct
SuperKilf honestly it depends - different first aid organisation - eh nhs and sja - have different practice methods
SuperKilf It is correct you must not remove the previous bandage......
thank u
Generally we do not remove the dressing, unless it is on the chest.
This has been very helpful. Thank you
morphological changes in shock-
adrenal changes-cortical cell lipid depletion
kidneys-ATN
lungs-rarely affected in hypovolemic shock,septic shock-diffuse alveolar hemorrhage(shock lung)
liver-cental hemorrhagic necrosis
septic shock-
early hyper dynamic state-
warm&flushed
decreased BP
vasodilation
tachy cardia
CO- n to inc
late hypodynamic state-
vasoconstriction
decresed output
oliguria(renal failure)
Exactly what I was thinking
Thnx, needed this for an assessment
If in the USA call 9-1-1 for emergency services (the other numbers does nothing in America)

Yes. Shock is a purely physical condition.
This type of shock is different from emotional and electric shock

Very good information

Did they jump before you or after you?
In my next shock, I hope I'll be aided by the doctress in this video💙

How do you avoid shock from happening?
Less anxiety when injured
@@jayrico1973 anxiety doenst cause this
i actully got a bad shock from a spinal injury
What do you do if the cause of shock is internal bleeding?
I'd say there is not much you can do. Turn their head to the side so that if they were to vomit (blood or other fluid), it won't choke them. Pray that the ambulance comes soon. If the shock develops rapidly and gets more severe, there's nothing a first aider can do sadly.
I"m taking a SJA Level 3 course right now and they stress that during Shock that we MUST remember to give them oxygen...why isn't this mentioned?
Because 99% of first aiders wouldn't usually have access to oxygen or be qualified to use it even if they did.

This is a basic treatment for shock.
useful
I went to have my bloods done I went into shock because I was scared of the needle
Uh...that's different to what is explained here. Being scared, or having a panic attack, is not the same as being in shock.
My hand got ptsd since a practice nurse failed with the needle and stabbing me through the bone several times, damn whenever i saw a needle it kinda giving me uneasy feeling between the joint
My friend went into shock when she found out her boyfriend is missing how to help her
golden briana you are 14 Tf 😂
ArChaoTic BeAsT I’m not 14 dude nice try to roasting me
I'm here as a replacement
Emotional/mental trauma is also a cause of shock.
To help your friend, do the same thing as the video, and they’ll recover

It depends on your country. Paramedics are usually trained in first aid.

What about people that write tho. They probably do too
Eh, I watch these for fun

Raising the legs is no longer an acceptable treatment for shock. Very recently changed. Most first aid training is still behind on this.
@@roozy64 that stuff changes so quick. Glad you said that but what now is standard as far as you know?
