Hey there, developer here! A massive THANK YOU for playing Hutts! It looked like you had an absolute BLAST during the run! I found it hilarious when you showcased the death dice; I can totally understand how viewers might find it a bit wild, but I am a big fan of chaotic cards like this one - they definitely need to exist! For those who are a bit unsure about Tsuki (card draw gal), we've already changed her to only draw once per turn. The initial design was intended for Story Mode, where you have a full deck of 30 cards. However, even in Story Mode, it proved to be too powerful. We are a team of developers who are completely open to feedback, and there will be many exciting changes before Early Access (EA) starts. Keep an eye out for new characters, mechanics, and a plethora of balance adjustments! :)
Seems mostly fun so far, but I have to say, that putting 3 cards into a deck of 12 that allow you to draw cards and then harshly punishing you for drawing cards doesnt exactly scream good gamedesign
Yeah. It’s way too punishing, considering how stally this game can be and how few cards you have. There’s a reason why most YuGiOh! decks for example consist of 40-60 cards. And even then decking the opponent out is already an incredibly viable strategy
Yeah, intentionally slowing down the gameplay through self inflicted damage is really annoying. Don't require a brand new player to think 3 steps ahead right out of the gate, they'll never see it coming. Lower energy build up if you want to slow down gameplay. All that combined with way too many "on death" damage in the first fight leads to just frustration and annoyance. I'm already turned off by it.
@@messedupperfect9367 There being 2 other characters to play with doesn't justify one of the base ones being very punishing. Neither does getting 7 more cards after the first fight, it doesn't change anything about the most basic fight, the one that should try hard to get you interested, showing that a very valid playstyle in other games gets punished hard.
@@KeDe1606well 1. That's because you must have 40 to 60 cards in a Yu-Gi-Oh deck and 2. I'd say decking out is rarely an actual strategy. It has only been viable recently because of Runick and when Kashtira had Diablosis This game does just seem unfair tho.
My man, your the best, love ur vids and love that you try out other games, it brings a smile on my face everytime I see that you have a new video online. And I just thought that all of your hard work you do and the smiles you bring you should have this little extra thank you!
Relics applying to your opponents cards and the punishment for over drawing cards seem pretty harsh and limiting. I probably won't pick this game up until there are some balance changes, but looks like it could be fun!
happy that you focus more on yt again cause im not a big fan of twitch also i wish best luck for your friend that got cancer and that she will beat it without a problem like you beat every rogelike without a sweat : )
Honestly feels like the player is able to do much MUCH LESS than every single enemy in the game, I've noticed that he could play significantly less cards, which is definitely not fun, because it gives you this feeling of hopelessness
The fact that all the relics affect your opponent as well honestly sucks and devalues them to the point where skipping what should be a direct upgrade is a reasonable idea. Imagine Slay the Spire but all the enemies start with block, move twice if they didn't attack last turn, and are completely immune to weaken.
An actualy challengeing rouge-like deckbuilder? Sign me in! The Death dice actualy make me want to play this more. It reminds me of Yogg Saron Rouge deck in hearthstone, where there was just a pure RNG random madness hapenning.
I feel like the game has much potential and looks very fun! The only downside for me is that the game feels to chaotic when you just start it for the first time. I feel like you can be introduced to the different types of cards and effects in a somewhat smoother way. All in all a fun game to watch Hutts play.
Idk crimson surge sounds like alot of work for a weak effect. 10 on your turn you will be quite a few turns in. So will 1 attack to everything then even matter? Idk i guess i would have to actually play the game and see
It's not just +1 attack to every unit though. it's +0 to one of your units, then +1 to another one of them, +2 to third unit, +3 to the fourth... you get the idea. It adds up quickly, especially if you're able to play a bunch of fodder and keep it alive.
I think after his beef with YT they blacklisted him and because he is not doing that well in terms of views because of that, he has to upload more to pay the bills. Very sad situation😔
the random complaints in the comments about stuff that is standard is a vast majority of cards is hilarious to me. this game plays exactly the same as the second act of Inception and everyone thought that game was the greatest deckbuilder of all time LOL
The art is amazing. But the skill ceiling seems too high. Imagine someone who just enjoys playing casually trying this game and all ready having a hard time on the first enemy. Also draw deck with punishment for drawing too many cards? Doesn't seem like very good design
The card pick screen where you skipped had "1/2" on the bottom, with an arrow to the right indicating another screen, were there more cards that could have been picked from, that were skipped?
While the game seems pretty fun, there are a lot of effects popping off in a chaotic way a ton; I'd like to see a confirmation button implemented when a new effect hits the board, so you can read it before it disappears. It may make the gamer slower, so perhaps have it as a setting for those who get experienced with the game and know all of the effects. Besides that small gripe, awesome looking game.
hee... the cards are *very* hearthstone-like. canons that can't attack but shoot whenever you summon a pirate minion? a set of music themed cards that repeat the previous music themed card you played from the set? a minion with a deathrattle that makes another of your minions have a deathrattle that resummons the minion? the fact that they literally have the same standard keywords, battlecry, deathrattle and rush, is one thing as they are pretty darn common, but they also have reborn, cast when drawn and infuse as mechanics as well.
This game genuinely looks awful to play. First of all, this is just sensory overload. Second, the game mechanics are dogshit. The pixel art is cool, but nothing makes any sense. Also, are we gonna talk about how the AI can play cards more expensive than the mana they have? The hot slime is 2 cost and the ember whelp spawned it on turn 1.
6:26 So, what happened here? He took two damage from the lava drip, down to 7. Then three from the spikes, down to 4...and them 4 and 5 more? From what?
ive played an online cardgame with overdraw punishment before, and let me say unlike this game it wasnt anywhere near as harsh, in the game i played you had "exhaustion" damage, wich made you take 1-damage x the number of turns passed since the deck became empty each time you would draw from the empty deck, not completely demolishing like this games "take 3 + x extra damage for each card you cant draw" if i can make a recomendation (and i doubt the devs will see this) but make this character start with the ability to gain shield equal to half there deck size when they exghaust there deck, so the spikes dont kill them instantly
The Death Dice are like a Satan take the wheel kind of relic, where they just drag your ass all over, but you're gonna have fun while being liberally smeared all over the place.
It looks cool, but like it would be a chores to play. No shame in being a hard game, but when the introduction looks this punishing it's hard to justify playing let alone learning the game.
It looks okay but way too much going on out of the players' control. Like alot even without the dice the game looks very driven and focused. I like card roguelike but this one is a bit too much for me.
Challenge, Idea for Isaac: Name Baby armada, start as Issac with blindfold and moms bracelet, every item is Cube baby. You can pick up cube baby with moms bracelet and throw it dealing damage. Goal: Beat the chest, you can give yourself BFF after it lives if it's underwhelming damage.
I love deck builders but there are OBVIOUS balancing issues that honestly makes me too concerned to buy the game. If a game dev can put out a game with these glaring issues, I am skeptical about the potential of the game as a whole. Not saying it cant/won't improve but thats a bad first impression.

You get 7 new cards right after you beat the first enemy, it's really not that bad. There's also 2 other characters he didn't play

To be fair, Hutts just slammed down draw effects like crazy with no regard to his remaining deck.
@@LeodSMW i disagree tried the game 1 tsuki only made me overdraw so much with pearl
happy that you focus more on yt again cause im not a big fan of twitch also i wish best luck for your friend that got cancer and that she will beat it without a problem like you beat every rogelike without a sweat : )

By Tako Boy Studios? I love their game "Candies n' Curses", and I love them! Definitely a download! And the game looks awesome!
16:20 wasnt there a second page of that shop?
That was such an intense last fight i cannot lie
Love the art-style, all the animations are super smooth and makes my brain tingle.
The art in this game looks fucking immaculate
honestly that death dice thing makes me want the game even more, even though its chaos its still a really interesting strategy
Just as you said, quite chaotic but quite nice !
I'd like some episodes when this officialy comes out.
I feel like the game has much potential and looks very fun! The only downside for me is that the game feels to chaotic when you just start it for the first time. I feel like you can be introduced to the different types of cards and effects in a somewhat smoother way. All in all a fun game to watch Hutts play.
The game has a story mode aswell. This is the rogue-lite mode that hutts already had progress in (which Is why there was no tutorial aswell.)
Idk crimson surge sounds like alot of work for a weak effect. 10 on your turn you will be quite a few turns in. So will 1 attack to everything then even matter? Idk i guess i would have to actually play the game and see

If anything, the death dice made me want this game even more.
A few people here saying the dice seem bad, but having something like this in a game is fun. One could always just not buy it.
Game looks awesome would love to see more , also definitely waiting to see that pirate deck builder again
Whoow, so many uploads lately 🎉🎉
I'm loving it
I think after his beef with YT they blacklisted him and because he is not doing that well in terms of views because of that, he has to upload more to pay the bills. Very sad situation😔
There's a second page in the shop, just so you know :D
Hutts somehow managed to make a deck where losing = Winning
i was wondering if we get more inscryption like games cuz i always thought that game did well and was prtty cool
the random complaints in the comments about stuff that is standard is a vast majority of cards is hilarious to me. this game plays exactly the same as the second act of Inception and everyone thought that game was the greatest deckbuilder of all time LOL
The editing is amazing!! High quality content
Hearthstone on steroids lol Amazing video Hutts!
Hutts dying on the first fight twice is so Hutts...
The art is amazing. But the skill ceiling seems too high. Imagine someone who just enjoys playing casually trying this game and all ready having a hard time on the first enemy.
Also draw deck with punishment for drawing too many cards? Doesn't seem like very good design
this is from the flinthook devs isn't it? everyone is saying the art is the good point of this game but a bunch of it is recycled lol
I'd love to actually see more of this game on this channel and the other.
We want more of this! I downloaded the demo right after finish your video and the other decks seems more fun!
You know,it really reminds me of inscription the second one
I'm all about chaos so things like deaths dice is a 100% must take no matter what for me lol
It REALLY looks like a mixture of two games: inscription (Gameplay looks like it) and a brazilian "Musical" game called "A lenda do herói" (Graphics)
A lenda do herói, um clássico
@@chubbyanemone696 Vejamos, mais um br em meio aos gringos, interessante
didnt even have to watch 1 minute before deciding i want to try it out :D

This game seems to love punishing you for defeating enemies or drawing cards, not sure how I feel about that.
It looks like inscryption and that game was amazing
I DIED ON THE FIRST LEVEL 😆😆😆
Nice seeing hutts play new games

oh hey, poison works like abyssal curse, and there's also divine shield, down to the card getting a yellow barrier over it.
i havent watched this yet but youtube put it on my "continue watching" tab
This game seems like it could use a system like slay where you redraw cards when you empty your deck
Dude you should play marvel snap, it's on the rize and a fantastic card game
In the card shop there seems to be a arrow to give you more options
HE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
This is awesome, just take my money, remind me of inscription
Roguelike Heartstone. Nice
This looks insanely fun.
Looks cool! :D
Need some time to figure all out tho :D

Sooo,Inscryption +StS + Heartstone ?
Ok who did the art for this?? The art looks the exact same as Creatures of Aether.
CHAOS!!!

I would love to play this but my 2013 laptop says no :(

You have to show it as it is. Otherwise people will play it and then get mad and want a refund.
