I've been looking at this map for a long time, and finally, it inspired me to make this painting. In a cozy summer forest, the branches of trees take turns, and my gaze falls on a glade where a deer is standing.
In this video, I show how to make such an incredibly beautiful painting using mixed media techniques. This is a multi-layered decor, which as a whole gives very beautiful effects, which can be viewed endlessly. It will become a beautiful decoration of your home or a wonderful gift for a person dear to you. I used the following materials:
- canvas on a stretcher - size 40*50 cm (15*20 inches)
- a decoupage map with the plot of a summer forest
- acrylic paints of the following colors - light green, dark green, ocher, black, white
- glue for decoupage
- colored structural paste - mine is green with crumbs
- colored voluminous gels - I have green, yellow and transparent with golden sparks of colors
- background stencils - I have different pebbles, twigs and leaves
- a large thematic stencil with patterns and an inscription.
Tools:
- synthetic flat brush - large for paint, glue and varnish
- mastihin
- dry wipes.

У цьому відео я показую, як зробити таку неймовірно красиву картину в техніках мікс-медіа. Це многослойний декор який в цілом дає дуже красиві ефекти, які можна нескінченно розглядати. Вона стане прекрасним декором вашого дому або чудовим подарунком для дорогої вам людини. З усіх питань щодо створення аналогічної картини ви можете писати мені в коментарях або в директ.

Я використовувала такі матеріали:
- полотно на підрамнику - розмір 40*50 см (15*20 дюймів)
- декупажна карта з сюжетом літнього лісу
- акрилові фарби таких кольорів - світло-зелена, темно-зелена, охра, чорна, біла
- клей для декупажу
- паста кольорова структурна - в мене зелена з крихтами
- кольорові об'ємні гелі - в мене зеленого, жовтого і прозорого з золотими іскрами кольорів
- трафарети фонові - в мене з різними камінчиками, гілочками і листочками
- великий тематичний трафарет з визерунками і надписом.
Інструменти:
- кисть синтетична плоска - велика для фарби, клею та лаку
- мастіхін
- сухі серветки.

I would also like to point out something that I feel is important, where I need to stress that my sole intention in bringing this to your attention is done in the most complimentary of ways.
I would much prefer hearing your voice as opposed to any style of music. I honestly feel that watching and listening to you simultaneously as you methodically move through the many stages and multiple layering of your individual, well developed artistic process.
As well, I would very much so, sincerely appreciate knowing where you found that absolutely spectacular decoupage paper ? I am rather serious about its purchase so I’m hoping and wondering if you know if it is still available ?

Unfortunately, my spoken English is very bad, as for video dubbing ;-) but in a recent video I tried to use the voice of artificial intelligence - I hope you will like it too ;-) In my Ukrainian videos, I also use additional dubbing of the creative process itself (my voice :))
But, in fact, the technique of mixed media is not a developed process, but an absolute flight of fantasy directly in the creative process. The decoupage card was the starting point, then there was improvisation ;-)
Regarding the decoupage card, it is a card from Stamperia, I am attaching a photo of its article number. I think that you can search in online stores (since I bought it a long time ago). Photo on the file exchange fex.net/s/vfmbszs

I am also in love with this project! I've had this decoupage card (from Stamperia) lying around for a long time, and finally I got inspiration and it found its image. Regarding the stencils - you can take the background of any company - I took pebbles of different shapes and leaves of different sizes and shapes. The central stencil I found here www.miniatureluxuries.com/products/kstdg06-thick-stencil-30x30-once-upon-a-time. But you can look for it near you. And thank you for your warm hugs and support! Thank you very much for the kind words! It's great to hear that this work is so inspiring! ;-) yes, the picture is ready for the interior. Regarding the alternative method - through a stencil without paste, unfortunately. But the paste itself can be used any - and various volume gels, you can add a thickening medium to acrylic paint (which will make the paint thick and it will keep its shape), you can take construction putty and tint it with acrylic paint (but the putty is white and if you tint it with paint, then it will whiten the color, the paint in this case should be taken no more than 30% of the amount of putty). But as an alternative to a stencil, you can take interchangeable chipboards for scrapbooking. But they will still look a little different.

thank you very much! stencils were bought for a long time in various stores. I always buy them if I see that they are interesting. there is never enough stencils. ;-) they can sometimes lie for a while and wait for their creative work :))
Question .. do you usually use watered down paint for collages?
Yes, this is the easiest way to tint a picture. Paints are available in a variety of colors, and even when diluted, acrylic paints retain their acrylic properties.
I am sorry another question, how many shades of green did you use?
Regarding shades of green: I had medium green + dark green paints, I took them separately and diluted them with water, or mixed them in different proportions. Also, one layer was green + a little ocher. A separate green was a paste with crystals (I also added a little dark green there) and a green gel (I also added a little dark green there). This dark green was added to each material (because they all differed from each other in general) and thus united them in a common color scheme of green. The general principle is to select shades for the picture, take several shades from light to dark. You can always feel free to write questions - I will definitely answer!
Is there a list of all the supplies? I would buy them all!
A list of all consumables is given in the description of the video. The main ones are a decoupage card www.amazon.com.au/STAMPERIA-INTERNATIONAL-KFT-DFSA3049-Forest/dp/B084Q9ZWRC (but unfortunately it is not available here, but there is a part number and you can search) and a stencil large www.dawnbibby.com/stamperia-large-12-x-12-stencil---once-upon-a-time-kstdg06 . All other stencils can be cut out, but with pebbles, various twigs and leaves.

I'm sorry, but I can't change it anymore. But you can click on the gear icon and select Display speed there, and change it to 0.75 from the original. The video display will become slower. Now I'm trying to edit the video not so fast.

Gesso is an ideal situation, it is good if it is there, the result will be better. An alternative is acrylic paint. However, chalk paint should not be used, as it is less resistant to water and may not produce the effect required from a primer.
but if you work with ready-made canvases from the store, they are usually already primed. And even if you have already done something on it, the original primer remains there. White paint is needed to cover the previous work.
