So far still an amazing laptop. A lot of laptops now adays are going more form factor. I do think it sucks not having a battery that I'd easy to take out but you'd have to think an engineering design persepctive. The laptop would be HUGE with a slide battery. I'm just bummed about the ram but I got a the 32GB version and that should last 10 years easy with probably a couple batteries. Also you can probably run this off a PowerBank if you don't feel like ripping it apart lol
I have been using a laptop for four months, I bought a version with i712700H and 16gb. I have enough power, but there is one very annoying moment - the keyboard rattles from the left where the CapsLock letter A, somewhere in this area, I put a credit card or phone on this place and the rattle disappears, but this is not normal in a top-end laptop from Asus. And so everything is super, I use the second screen in full.
was looking at the 16GB version thinking I would save money and upgrade the ram but for some reason I will a lot of companies are not giving us that option anymore. Its like everyone sees how apple is doing things and trying to copy them. at least its 16GB and not 8
Can we not just replace ram modules on the board. Thinking about getting one but once warranty is out even if I have to solder new ram on it I'd try at some point. But no video I've looked at shows at least the RAM modules on the motherboard
Dear Sir, Could you please share your knowledge. Is the mother board of UX582LR and UX582HS same construction and same connector? I have plant to reply my ZenBook UX582LR. I only found mother board for UX582HS. Please advise me.
On the asus webpage it says that the ZenBook Pro can be upgrade up to a 2TB M.2 and so is that it’s the limit or can I upgrade to even a bigger M.2 when needed.
Hi, I have this asus zenbook ux582l. When I change the ssd nvme, the windows 11 setup is in the small partition of the original ssd or in one type of eprom? because when I turn on in first time, the system install windows automatically
Can i ask am i able to take rtx3070 graphic card from this laptop and put it inside of ux581 if i have a machines and the staff which usually used to change broken processors or grafic cards on laptops? Or it's not gonna fit there ?
I have been using asus vivobook for the last 8 months, i use laptop with always plugged in keeping the battery health charging software at maximum lifespan mode which allow charge only 60%. I switch to full capacity mode once a week and then use the laptop on battery. When the battery comes down to 15-20% i plugged in again and switch to maximum lifespan mode agsin and continue using the laptop in this mode for next 6 days of the week. Now i can see my full charge capacity has been decreased from the design capacity upto 3000 mah in just 8 months, although backup time is still ok. Upto the june, 2021 the full charge capacity was close to design capacity, but it detoriarated in just 1 month. I just got confused. I can't find any answer from asus or any tech guy. Does anybody here face the same issue like me? I checked all this generating battery report from command prompt.
You are doing everything right as far as battery health except bringing it down to 20%. You really at best should be at 3.5 to 3.6 volts(if you want it to last the longest) That should be approximately 30 to 45% but batteries are non-linear do the % can go anywhere. 60% is legit perfect
Here are the failures of this laptop. 1)For a high end laptop like this would expect it to have a FINGERPRINT SENSOR,for unlocking it.But nope it lacks ,an area that hp covers well. They want you to use the web cam for unlocking the unit which ain't good for some of us who like covering it due to privacy issues 2.The laptop i expected would come with a type C charger at least due to its high end price ,but its a disappointment.🤦♀️🤦♂️ 3.)The laptop pen isn't magnetic like that of the Hp spectre which makes it easy to get lost.U can't even charger the pen which i thought wud be chargeable via usb C like how Hp spectre does🤦♂️🤦♀️🤷♂️ 5.) This is something i have noticed in most new laptops ,Now that the power button is incorporated in the keyboard keys, it would be great if it was colour coded, to distinguish it from the other keys I REALLY HOPE THE UX583 CAN FIX THIS. #MY ADVICE IS TO SKIP THIS ONE AND WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE.
1. "They want you to use the web cam for unlocking the unit which ain't good for some of us who like covering it due to privacy issues" you cant have everything, covering is your choice and they give you other methods to sign in. You'd be giving up your privacy with the fingerprint as well. I bet the stats for people using a fingerprint sensor when they are available is like 1%. They packed as much as they possibly could. In my opinion it's very slick and small for a laptop considering what they put inside. I expected a large beast that is basically a replacement for a desktop PC, but nope, it's great. 2. Could type C charger charge this laptop as efficiently (i don't know)? 3. I agree, laptop pen is quite bad. It's large, doesn't feel premium, you have to replace batteries... In my opinion definitely not a version to skip. Like how is charger type, fingerprint sensor, pen and button light a reason to skip one of the most innovative laptops available now? :D You'll be waiting for a perfect version your entire life. Hugely improved over ux581 and zephyrus. I think the only reason one might want to skip this version is the screen refresh rate, but if you plan to play games there could be a compromise of getting an external screen, which is what I wanna do (I know this is not a solution, but for me the screen refresh rate is not a dealbreaker in this case).
@@Explorer724 the first one was announced two years ago tho, if you want to wait for the third one you probably have to wait another two years, and some of his point are actually wrong, the first one about the fingerprint sensor is depends on personal preference. What he said about the type c charging is totally wrong, a type c cable will only allow up to 100w of power delivery, for a laptop with these kinds of specs, the 3070 itself requires 110w of power, plus a i7/i9, and other components, it come with a 240w power brick, and that’s why you don’t see any high end gaming laptop support type c charging, all of them will come with a big power brick. And I do agree with what he said about the pen tho, but consider if you really need two screens for more productivity and this laptop meets your needs, you don’t have much choices other than that.
@@jz7283 After giving it some thought, this is a really great laptop for both gaming and art! I was a bit disappointed with the new Razer Blade 14 and other laptops that were recently announced. Is it possible to install a Samsung 980 pro with heatsink in this laptop?
can I use Sabrent 4TB NVME PCIe 4.0?

The ram thing does suck but it's really done to save space and of course make you buy the 32GB version lol

So the ram is not upgradable?
Nope. Even to upgrade the SSD, will need some extra tools

@@djroc449 something to clone existing ssd to new one before you can swap it
@@RomanDoes no you don't... you can just plug the new drive and and do a fresh install of the OS

Well the only downside of this laptop for me is the ram is not upgradable, so if I want the 32gb I have to pay extra couple hundreds dollar.
