It's a Sufi song (could sound like a romantic song, but actually is a prayer to God or about praising His Messengers).
The "Indian" kind of music is called _Hindustani Classical Music._
This is mostly practiced in India and Pakistan, and a little bit in Bangladesh.
Most HCM singers use their hand in sync with the tune. Many of them say, they can "see the notes" while singing.
Thanks. That's an extra explanation as to why some artists use their hands a lot while singing. I've figured out their gestures match the vocals, but I didn't know it was specific to a particular style.

Wow, the control he has. I've seen his name a fee times in the comments. I don't get why people dislike such skills. If you don't like the style, it doesn't mean he's not good. It's not something I'd listen every day, but this is some amazing singing, and I've learnt to appreciate ethic sound and different types of music since I started listening to Dimash.

Everytime i hear this audition i have to cry, its not the lyrics, it’s his singing that makes me cry as it penetrates so deep.
Everybody thinks that he showed almost everything from the first audition itself but that was actually not even a half of his potential... he's just so amazing

He indeed was the winner of Indian idol. Salman left his family as a kid to learn music and have formal training. This is after years and years of his hard work. The lyrics of the song are so beautiful....its hard to translate them....He is bowing down to his love (Sajda) , willing to give his life. He is praising her deep black eyes and saying that his heart beat runs faster than dreams....Even if he has to give up his life and this world....he will still love her.....forever.....and will bow down....etc etc.
As a 13 year old he did the same song on a kids reality tv show (sa re ga MA pa little champs).. he was just as good even at 13 !
I wish I could post my pic I had taken with him. He is humble and so so talented as you saw. Natural, and always smiling. He won the contest. Also please listen to sunny hindustani. He won idol 11. I was at the set and met all of them. They are all wonderful people. Lovely singers.

I´m not in shook but he has a very good voice and can SING! I heard something like this before, but mostly from female singers. Indian Sufi music takes me away from this shitty world we live in and let me feel better. That´s what music should all about and if you listen to master class singers like this, it´s a feast for the ears and heart.
