A grinder fitted with a flap disk will do just fine for flat surfaces. If you have a angel grinder already i would prioritize getting a die grinder with different rollock type pads and hss files
How long does a drum last?
Here's a video of a mercury where we went through about 1/2 the finishing drum and 1/2 the abrasive drum. The car had surface rust on bare metal, rusty running boards and the roof was covered in paint. ruclips.net/video/AmS02QtoifU/видео.html

Similar tools cost 2x-4x as much!
oh, I know. Doesn't make it worth 200$ though. Not trying to talk down the product though, I own a whole lot of Eastwood tools and a welder :)
