I think they should make character designs with less detail (not completely without shadows and stuff but this will help when animating), when there is sick panel then of course they can make it more detailed. I’ll try to predict the best possible way to adapt NEL. Firstly we need to consider the manga. When s1 came out, in the manga there were manshine and bastard playing each other and now that s2 aired we are still in the NEL (even though it will finish soon). NEL so took three years for four games. If there isn’t any other selection between NEL and U-20 WC (like a fifth selection or a blue lock vs new gen 11) this means that U-20 WC will start this year. If nothing will be changed, there will be 7 games (3 group stage and 4 ko stages) so if NEL took 3 years for 4 games i think it will take 5/6 years (especially for the final). This means that if we’ll get NEL next year, we’d wait 6/7 years for another season. Now to avoid this situation there is only one thing: to divide the season 3 into two parts. If they are already working on s3 maybe we can get barcha+manshine next year, considering that it will be like 12 episode (first two shibuya+introduction on NEL, next three Barcha, one between matches and six for manshine). Unfortuntely it can be aired during wc because it will be played during summer and not in winter again, this means it would be aired in march/april but of course it is too soon so it will probably be aired in october again. For that time (according to my predictions) the group stage will be finished. And for this reason, in october of 2027 we can have the part two that could be of 20 episode (the first between manshine and ubers, six for ubers’ game, three between ubers and pxg and ten for pxg). So when s3 will finish we could be on the semis of u-20 wc (or maybe round of 8). Then they can do the same with u-20 wc dividing it into two parts. Sorry for the lenght but it couldn’t be shorter

This is impossible if a movie is 1h30m long, because one anime series adapts an average of 3.5 chapters, and even if we take 4.5 instead of 3.5, they adapt at best 25 manga chapters in 1h30m of the film, but the game with PXG lasts almost 50 chapters

For me, the first 3 matches should be the season 3. The manshine city as final match is the best finale to the season, then make the Ubers and pgx matches should be a movie because they're the most intense and the best matches in the NEL
There’s two options. 1. A release next year during the World Cup; or, 2. A release in 2027 during the summer or fall. I say the because season one got popular in part due to it releasing during the 2022 World Cup. With the 2026 cup rolling around there’s a strong incentive for production to release it next year. Considering that they teased Kaiser and kunigami it seems like that’s the direction they’re going in. The downside to this is that the animation will likely be rushed with only a year and a half of production time. This means core one (12-13 episodes) would release in the summer of 2026, with core two coming out in the summer of 2027. This means 24-25 episodes total into two separate cores. This is the most likely option but there’s also a small chance the production team will be responsible and give 8bit two years and a half to put season three together to release in 2027. If they do that we’ll get good animation but I serious doubt that production will allow 8bit to do that.
I can season 3 ending against Manshine and season 4 on PXG and whatever happens after that and make ten about the length season 2 was That or like you said end S3 on Ubers as that is where Isagi scores and make PXG match a movie or a season 4 just for the match depending on what comes after that match in the manga I feel though they might make episode Nagi a movie again though :/

At the *least* bring us back to S1 animation. Rewatching it again, the first half of S1 was pretty solid and the series already has good directing. But no more constant PNGs give us *movement*

Honestly I hope they focus more on movement and less on flow graphics because it’s just so much more to a animate but if they simplify the flow state they can have the hype of flow with the fluidity of movement
They definitely need to take their time. The dumbass higher ups at the production committee wanted a quick short term cash grab instead of giving the animators a couple of extra months to work on the season. We could’ve had one of the greatest sports arc in anime history. Personally, I’d love to see the Barcha, Manshine, and Ubers games be animated in season 3 while a movie drops for the PXG game. I wouldn’t mind waiting a bit for a crazy movie budget BL movie but I do understand that they’ll probably make more money if they release all the games during the 2026 World Cup though. it also needs a good director. a good anime director can elevate mediocre animators to good animators with good storyboarding and direction choices. season 2 had a really good director that made it WATCHABLE and dude tried his hardest to work around the still shots and cgi.

The pacing is too fast for some of the episodes you plan out. Some of those episodes have alot of downtime and conversation. I think itll be a 13 episode season ending on chapter 204
the thing about 8bit is that they are so focus on their star anime "that time i got reincarnated as a slime'" even tho its good and popular they fail to realize they got blue lock sitting in the corner

It could be working, if season 3 cour 1 covers up to chapter 208/209 (before start of the Ubers game) in 14 episodes (nearly your prediction) and then cour 2 (or even season 4) covers the rest of NEL (we don’t know the numbers of left chapters, but it could be working, especially it’s just straight up the next game. So my prediction: season 3 cour 1 releases on summer 2026 and maybe cour 2 or season 4 releases on summer 2028… especially the fact that 8bit is a small studio. 2 years between season 3 and 4 Is hard, but season 5 could be start on the next World Cup. In this case 8bit should have enough time to create a monster season alongside with the World Cup 2030… in this case the manga could be even finished. We will see:D On top of that… I think all the animations which are not finished yet (of the u20 World Cup match) will be finished and then released as a movie In theatres. That would be straight up hype again and all the hard working animators will get credits
As hype as a PXG movie would be, it's about 85 minutes for the whole match, which is 4 episodes worth of content. It's not enough for this match unless you take out some scenes. I think a mini season with 6-7 episodes would make more sense, and it's not something unheard of.
The production and quality of Blue Lock Season 3 is gonna be heavily dependent on whether the executives at Bandai Namco & Kodansha give the adaption team a suitable deadline and work environment. The fact that 8-Bit Studios had to produces and release over 9 anime projects in 2024, along side Episode Nagi & Season 2 was insanity. The animators know what they’re doing, and when they can, they can absolutely deliver. Let’s hope they don’t get fucked over like did during Season 2’s production.
Unless they take like around 2 years or more to do everything in order to have proper animation & whatnot, its highly unlikely that s3 will be anywhere near as good as the last 2 eps of s2.

Honestly I hope they focus more on movement and less on flow graphics because it’s just so much more to a animate but if they simplify the flow state they can have the hype of flow with the fluidity of movement
They definitely need to take their time. The dumbass higher ups at the production committee wanted a quick short term cash grab instead of giving the animators a couple of extra months to work on the season. We could’ve had one of the greatest sports arc in anime history.
Personally, I’d love to see the Barcha, Manshine, and Ubers games be animated in season 3 while a movie drops for the PXG game. I wouldn’t mind waiting a bit for a crazy movie budget BL movie but I do understand that they’ll probably make more money if they release all the games during the 2026 World Cup though. it also needs a good director. a good anime director can elevate mediocre animators to good animators with good storyboarding and direction choices. season 2 had a really good director that made it WATCHABLE and dude tried his hardest to work around the still shots and cgi.
They're definitely doing 2026, the company is all rats but not idiots. They want the money and it makes sense to be in 2026.
I honestly think they should release 6 episode mini seasons all dedicated to each game so they can get the maximum amount of detail for each one.

The pacing is too fast for some of the episodes you plan out. Some of those episodes have alot of downtime and conversation. I think itll be a 13 episode season ending on chapter 204
the thing about 8bit is that they are so focus on their star anime "that time i got reincarnated as a slime'" even tho its good and popular they fail to realize they got blue lock sitting in the corner

It could be working, if season 3 cour 1 covers up to chapter 208/209 (before start of the Ubers game) in 14 episodes (nearly your prediction) and then cour 2 (or even season 4) covers the rest of NEL (we don’t know the numbers of left chapters, but it could be working, especially it’s just straight up the next game.
So my prediction: season 3 cour 1 releases on summer 2026 and maybe cour 2 or season 4 releases on summer 2028… especially the fact that 8bit is a small studio. 2 years between season 3 and 4 Is hard, but season 5 could be start on the next World Cup. In this case 8bit should have enough time to create a monster season alongside with the World Cup 2030… in this case the manga could be even finished. We will see:D
On top of that… I think all the animations which are not finished yet (of the u20 World Cup match) will be finished and then released as a movie In theatres. That would be straight up hype again and all the hard working animators will get credits

As hype as a PXG movie would be, it's about 85 minutes for the whole match, which is 4 episodes worth of content. It's not enough for this match unless you take out some scenes. I think a mini season with 6-7 episodes would make more sense, and it's not something unheard of.

The production and quality of Blue Lock Season 3 is gonna be heavily dependent on whether the executives at Bandai Namco & Kodansha give the adaption team a suitable deadline and work environment. The fact that 8-Bit Studios had to produces and release over 9 anime projects in 2024, along side Episode Nagi & Season 2 was insanity.
The animators know what they’re doing, and when they can, they can absolutely deliver. Let’s hope they don’t get fucked over like did during Season 2’s production.

Hell no. I dont think you understand just how much content is in the matches. The u20 alone was 9 episodes (3hours) and that was even with the cut content
As i think that nel will take more than a season, thus i think they should divide it into 3 parts, take all the time they want and just make the first part with like 12-13 eps, so atleast they get kore time and for lesser episodes, resulting in better animation and quality, same with other parts. Just take ur time
They should do it like Bleach. End first season on Man City, Season 2 on Ubers and Season 3 on PXG.
