1 truck = 5 forkliftfuls 1 forkliftful = 24 big boxes 1 big box = 72 little boxes 1 little box = 8 cups with a decal hand-applied to each of those 69,120.
I'm with you, it's always refreshing when there is safety gear. Unfortunately the guy who is loading glass into the furnace (which is called "charging" the furnace) is the one who really needs it, and what he is wearing is doing nothing for him. You need a particulate filter on a proper tight fitting mask.
It appears to be a wet decal which is why she can slide it around to align it (compared t if it was a sticker). But in the next scene they run the decorated cups through I think an oven to make it more permanent. Possibly just a dryer but obviously you can wash the cups so it must be fairly permanent once dry.
After they clip the raw material as it is poured into the mold, where does the excess go? It is impossible to accurately clip the pour accurately, so there has to be excess material. Where does that excess material go, or are some cups have thicker walls then other cups?
@@fancyuggshoes3605 Certainly the “clipper” is experienced but I suspect those broken cups that were recycled were partly from misjudging the clip point.
Just an idea here but if you stop the video at the 4:04 location, it appears that the cup on the far right has a slightly thicker rim than the cup immediately beside it. Maybe the fraction of a difference in the molten material that goes into one mold gets pushed up so that cup has a slightly higher side and the mold allows the rim to become a fraction thicker. Further in the process when the cups are blasted with flames, some of those irregularities will be melted away and evened out. Then as Judd_S states, any cups that continue to look irregular get melted down for the next batch.
The molten glass taker guy is the real guy who give the good amount of glass. The cisor guy just cut something. He cant aim anything. Look at the viscosity of molten glass, its different between mug and cup.
Wow! It must be hot in that building! The people are wearing lots of clothes! So much noise i imagine and they must be paying close attention! Its dangerous❤ -usa
@@davidhamm5626 No he means the boxes are stacked on top of eachother but not secured together. Like jenga blocks that will slide around in the truck but wrap the whole jenga tower in plastic and the weight of it will stop any sliding. Unless of course you have some serious road accident but that would send things flying everywhere anyway.
Given the amazing technological growth of Korea this factory must be one that operates only for tourist visitations, hence all the broken cups at the beginning; they break everything they make and are basically stuck in a recycling loop. At the end, the boxes are either empty while in another room a whole bunch of workers are busy throwing cups at walls or once out of sight, each box gets purposely run over by a truck. Yep, got it all figured out.
I want to know where all the broken cups come from? either they keep breaking everything they make so they can make again which makes zero sense or its a Korean thing to break cups after used once.
What a horrible job. Hot, sweaty, all day w the possibility of burn accidents as well as other factory mishaps. No thanks! And by the way this video was made I’m guessing they were trying to showcase the process. The music sets the tone. Still a big FAIL w me.

Pleas redo the math ,,

Nice. And now we know.
Bom video amigo
Интересно смотреть как слаженно работают эти люди. Столько энерги что бы кто-то взял в руки эту чашку и помечтал о вечном.
I like it because it looks like all the workers have proper safety gear

You are being Sarcastic I hope because not a single pair of Safety Glasses on anyone Nor Ear protection worn by anyone just gloves plain gloves.
You don't need glasses bicose glass can't explode when it is hot @wickedwilly9785
Lovely!
Very nice process and fast pace job. At 05:52 - 06:00 is that just a stick or something that will engrave later?

They are the experts. Probably the person who cuts molten glass into the molds has at the least 20 yrs. Of experience. No excess. 😊

So when the glass is put into the furnace to remelt it
Is it stirred while in the furnace or does it just sit flat while melting ??

Muito interessante.
No shrink wrap on the palletized boxes at the end? One sudden stop and those boxes will go everywhere.
It looks like bands go around the open sides.
I'm sure they know what they're doing

Нет другой альтернативы, кроме как использовать много природного газа. («Природный газ» по-русски означает «метан»?)
