@le0nardus599 Really 3 500? :O isn't there RPM limiter on the engine, set to about 2 400 or 2 500? (I don't know what engine we are talking about, but for example DAF and Iveco engines in my city are limited to 2 400 for DAF and 2 500 for Iveco) Sounds a bit too much, most bus engines have maximal allowed RPMs to 2 800, Iveco Tector without limiter can go up to 3 000 but it is not healthy for the engine
@le0nardus599 the speed, or the RPMs at that speed are defined by the gear ratio of highest gear and the axle ratio, our gelenkbuses with 4° VOITH go 80 km/h in about 2 100 rpms while the limiter is set to 2 400. Revving up bus engine over that in case of malfunction of limiter is basically playing with fire. The engines are rarely built to last when being in so high RPMs, on Iveco Cursor 8 which has limiter on 2 380 and hardware limit is about 2 800 was even 2 500 too much. If the driver didn't control it by braking the bus, he's basically an idiot (who the hell let's the bus go 135 km/h in 4 000 RPMs?).
There's not really an engine noise but I know what you mean - the sqeak: the turbo, the strange and varied whining: the gearbox and the great noise when slowing down: the axle. Also, have you ever heard a 2005 era Dennis Trident with CUMMINS ISC engine and Voith Gearbox, squeaky turbo and retarder as well as screaming axles ? That is great sound
Wow! I did not think a voith gearbox could be THAT crazy! The pulsar is also another thrashy bus
That is insane!!! 😱😱😱Loved it so much!
Sounds exactly like a streetlite but with power
I was sitting inside a VDL ambassador 200 and it behaved exactly the same it also hit the rev limiter a few times
NL?
Same SB200 chassis so they’ll be identical to a Pulsar.

Bloody hell you got a kick down and a thrash to the redline!
@le0nardus599 An overrev will not cause a runaway
@le0nardus599 Runaways are caused by a mechanical failure, either in the turbo feeding oil down the intake or an injector pump/fuel system problem
Great video. ☺️
She wanted to go, and she went!
Arriva always have these wright busses!
Wow never seen a bus kickdown so much and so crazily🤣👍
I love the pulsars
Bloody hell haha!!! :D Love it! Great video! :P
+LVideo1000 Thanks lol, seems it's much easier than it should be to get the gearbox to go crazy like that :P
Voith D854.5
D854.6*
I LOVE BUSES and I'm only 10 years old! My favourite bus is the E400!! I like the engine noise

I love Wright commanders for whistling
I wonder if there is a all electric bus with the voith gearbox
Heuliez bus has a VOITH Transmission in their electric busses.
Are these 2009 reg pulsar or a 13 plate one?
63 plate Euro 5
in Santiago of Chile, the buses with voith gearbox, can't do this :/.
Which one is that! VRK?Amazing kickdown
I can't remember which one unfortunately
What model voith is it
DIWA 864.5 I believe
Hier wird das letzte für den Fahrplan herausgeholt! ;-)
Do most plaxton centros have voiths
SB120/200 ones do. The Volvo B7s are ZF though. The MAN ones I'm not soo sure
SB200 - Voith, MAN 12m - Varies between Voith and ZF, SB120 - Allison, MAN 10.8m - ZF, B7RLE - ZF
Omg! Haha
Oh dear!!!
It sounds like a Citaro
