The new SWB2 is literally that- which is the problem. There was none of the stuff in it that made the original great, but the stuff that made battlefield great. It is still a very good game that has greatly improved since it's release, all controversies aside.
This mod need AI for coop game mode. Imagine 70 clone troopers vs hundreds of AI-controlled droid. Also since droids have a very robotic reaction to a situation...designing AI for it should be relatively simple.

Squad lacks the single player and mission/scenario making abilities of arma 3, but yes it it much better optimized and such. I hope arma 4 is the best of both worlds whenever it comes out

I JUST played Battlefront 2 (2016) for the first time after buying it on sale, and I got to say, it was such a fucking disappointment. No teamwork, no coordination from anybody, lots of idiotic narrow chokepoints that the match just rallies between endlessly, TOO many shots to kill and overall just a pathetic experience. Now this ..this is EXACTLY what Star Wars needs! God bless Squad and the modding community! :)
you need to join a milsim group. groups like the 104th fill a lobby and will be tactical and have squads doing specific objectives and following orders. Its actually pretty fun.
Looks promising. A few kinks to work out like full auto tank guns (the droid tank was very OP!) and inconsistent sound levels, but the core gameplay looks great. Felucia giving me big 'nam vibes

the devs need to reach out to the mod devs and offer therm an offical position and make galactic contention a real part of the game honestly a lot of games would do good offering their mod community offical positions if they make good content not like fallout where someone makes a mod and they take it for there own and release a dlc with the mod in it claiming it as theres shameful if you ask me

They weren't trying to make Battlefront this realistic though. Other than being Star Wars themed, BF2 (arcade) and this squad mod (simulator) are at complete opposite ends of the FPS spectrum.

The mod looks great but I wouldn't say it has better graphics than Battlefront 2, the graphics on that game are incredible.

Imagine a game mode where the CIS players have a bunch of AI droids backing them up that die in one shot and don't really take cover.
I think this is a perfect game type to do ticket imbalances and asymmetric gameplay. Give the clones objectively better equipment, but less tickets.
