Good moves, but one major error: don’t skate right towards the defender. If you skate in at an angle, the defender has to turn or cheat a little in that direction which makes it more difficult when you cut the other way. If you go directly towards the D-man, he can stay put and go for a much easier poke check.

That sneaky pull could be the end of you if you glance at the puck the defender is going to sneaky hip check your ass to the ground.

i find that none of these work on smart dmen that play the body and don't give a damn about your stick handling. i find you need to rely more on agility and changing your pace when you come across better and smarter players with less emphasis on your actual stick handling skills. of course you need to be able to stick handle the puck to follow the movement of your body so it's still good to master these moves.

These are great skill drills but what if the defenseman... you know... has a hockey stick...?
