Pedri is not a 10. He is great as a 10, Dont misunderstand. He's more of a number 8. Pedri is a player you want to get on the ball a lot for dictation and tempo/control. Enhancing the ability he has as a amazing passer. Pedri can push up the field occasionally or some parts of the game as long as he has a DM behind him (which we have) such as Casado, Bernal(injured), or Gavi. Pedri in a double pivot is the best for him. In comparison, Olmo is a true 10, Not pedri. The CAM position is more of a Attacker role( it is in the name). CAM duties are 1-2 pass combinations, running into space. Pressing the first line of defense, shooting from outside the box, (creating unpredictability on the attack). Although there is no denying that pedri can play as a 10, Olmo has the more enhanced abilities to play that role. Even raphinha is a better 10 than pedri. Reasoning being, Pedri is true and unique MIDFIELDER. While Olmo, fermín, Raphinha, are all ATTACKERS. Although he did great at the Euro's as a 10 and using him as a 10 is never a bad move or idea, pedri should play as a number 8 in a double pivot to dictate play. Not to mention his injury history, as a 10, pedri will be force to run more than usual.
