Now do the same question to people who have lived here for years. Especially the new rents. Once the commercial leases start coming up for re lease..watch for foods to start to double. Then compare this to the local average wages…eventually pushing most of the local puerto people away from “desirable areas” which now get taken over by out of town economy…sad for the younger generation who most just will never afford a home now.
It’s around the same in all of the other towns, their is more opportunities for local people too. Diferente perspectiva amigo, but Puerto Escondido is beloved by the local community, the majority of course.
@@ecoadventurespuertoescondido it’s just a way to make people even poorer. Taking the land by driving the price up, so the locals can’t afford it ..while they have a bit of money to by cars, motorcycles and stuff, because they have more work, while people from outside economies buy the true wealth…the land… seen this so many times ..the average local person becomes homeless in the end… land prices have doubled tripled while wages go up very little, before 500,000- 1,000,000 pesos would buy you a nice home.. now it’s like 3,000,000+ and going up…how many local jobs can afford those prices now? Mexican national business people knew what was to happen years ago… that’s why they invested here ten years ago….. I remember my first house I bought in Canada for 50,000 dollars it now worth 1,200,000 dollars. 20x the price while in the same time wages went up little… not just a Mexican thing ..it’s a economic thing… unless you know how it works and where governments and business know ( always before the public) the average person will always get left behind…
