- Due to lightning seen near the Key Bridge, the Unified Command says the Francis Scott Key Bridge removal has been rescheduled for Monday, May 13th, at 5 p.m., pending any inclement weather.
The Baltimore area has seen constant storms over the weekend, which have presented a big speed bump for the demolition. This is the second time it has been rescheduled, as the original date was penciled in for Friday, May 10.

Power failed on the ship which isnt necessarily the crews fault but this isnt the first time this ship has had problems. Poor maintenance could be a contributing factor. That being said the owner of the ship should be held 100% responsible for the loss of life and the cost to replace the bridge. No American tax dollars should be paying for this unless its a temporary loan.

Unfortunately, unless it is proven that the ship was unseaworthy, Limitation of Liability Act of 1851 would limit claims to about $40-50 million, far cry from the billions that are needed for the replacement, so the government should clear and re-build the bridge ASAP, and get the rest sorted out after.
