That's dope man. I'm sold on the Key 37. I'm definitely saving to get one.
I started with sampling records and wanted to learn to play keys because I loved so many of the piano/rhodes samples I'd hear on songs. Hip-hop was my inspiration to learn jazz.

That's what's up! Man you'll love it! I've heard that hip-hop has even inspired modern jazz. Thanks for dropping in bro! 🍻🙏

Raul, you definitely helped me gain the confidence to try playing along with my samples. I have a way to go but this is pretty dope. Salute! I’m gonna get into pad perform with my Live 2 and MPK mini. Glory to GOD!

    Cool.
Using a Live2 w a MPK Mini Plus in one setup (mobile) and an OG X with an Advance49 (studio).
The MPC is just getting better and better, hard to find a better combo for letting the creative juices out imo.

Most definitely. Nothing beats it! Having to MPC setups is a legitimate workflow enhancement! Just swapping SD cards from the portable to home setup is fantastic!

You can work in chords and scales in Pad Perform and you can lock in chords and scales with MIDI controllers like the M-Audio Oxygen Pro and MPK Mini Plus.

I started about a year ago coming from an ole House head Dj and I always thought using samples like from Cymatics, The sample lab or wherever you had to chop and screw the sample and add your own instruments to make everything your own

There's no rules to this but the rules we make for ourselves. I'd want to do the same, it's fun to think yea I just really flipped that but sometimes just looping a sample and playing over it just feels right as well to me. 🍻

As of current workflow, a mix of samples and imstruments.
And some clip programs, often forgotten but pretty useful if you do you own loops to mix and match. These will be very handy with stems imo.
What I am sampling and chopping atm?
Songs that kids do like and adding atuff to them, including funny fx on a specific program.
Also, using several controllers (keys and pads).that are assigned to specific track so there is no need to switch this and that (just hit the bass keyboard, the fx pads, the lead keyboard, and use master pads for clips).
Several controllers allow one person to play bass while the other does fx and the other does lead. Think mom, pop, kid as a fun activity to do as a fam.

He doesn’t understand the keys haha….dude….just go download Simply Piano and play through the lessons like a game. In a couple months you will be phage a whole new world of music open up to you. Also stop trying to be cool. You don’t need to care what people think when you are confident.

    • @LiftedNoise

People who say they don't care what people think are lying to themselves. There is a difference in being concerned with peoples perspectives and letting it bother you. You are over here seemingly trying to get under my skin while also giving me advice. Because I do care what others think I'll i take what your saying in consideration while not letting your perceived judgments bother me. Thanks. 🍻

@@LiftedNoise I understand which option is better for Moving around and etc Because of size and convenience. I was curious workflow Wise in most people's opinion did they like the Key 37 or would they rather have a One Plus and just use midi when They need it. Like do they like the button layout better on one machine compared to the other Or is the convenience of having keys built-in Making the work flow Smoother or is it better to have a smaller unit where you're not reaching over keys the entire time things like that
