I wanted to leave 2 things I've learnt after so many years at the gym without getting much fitter:
1 - Diet must go hand in hand with exercise. In fact, diet is 80% of your physique! If your goal is to lose weight, you gotta be in a calorie deficit. Let’s say that your body needs 2,200 calories per day. Let's say you run 1h each day in the gym, that'll burn about 700 cal. But then you'll be hungrier, so the point is that your total intake shouldn't go over the 700 you burnt. Otherwise, you'll put even more weight, even if you're now going to the gym.
A calorie deficit of 10-20% would be 1,760-1,980 calories per day. If you try to have a bigger calorie deficit, you won't last long. Just keep it small but constant! Something that doesn't make you suffer.
2 - After years of going to the gym, I wasn't putting on big amounts of muscle or growing in any way. Science shows that the more frequently you hit each muscle, the more it'll grow.
So just changing to a total body workout made me get WAY fitter! If you're not going 5 times a week to the gym, you should be following a total body workout as you won't overtrain.

Very nice, and very cool channel! Only thing this is missing is drop sets - like nobody has this: mobile apps, other templates, etc. I've added a column for "Set Type" and listed Standard Set, Drop Set, but I wonder of there's a cleaner way to do this. Cheers for the template!

Love this! Only thing I ran into was that within the Day #'s templates the Muscle Group Rollup isn't functioning as you intended. I'm still new to Notion and don't know how to fix this if anyone can assist.

Dear Bri, firstly, I would like to thank you for this free template. The template is incredible, and I'm grateful for all the time and effort you spent on doing this. I want to ask your advice not sure what I am doing wrong. I have added a few more exercises under the exercise tab; I enjoyed doing that. However, when I go to the weekly workout and want to personalise my program by adding one of the new exercises, it doesn't show in the drop-down list. I populated all of the fields correctly whilst in the Exercise tab. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. xo

the template looks really nice. Thanks for your work! Best I've seen so far. I wonder if it is possible to show a statistic of your lifting progess. Either in a table or even with a graph. Like to see how weight or reps have increased over time. That would be really cool. You think thats possible?
A statistic per exercise is what I am looking for. To see the progression over time per exercise no matter in which workout I did the exercise. That'd be lovely.

Hey thanks for this! I'm running into an issue where whatever data (sets and weight i lifted) i have input in the "Day 1" gets overwritten when i create a new workout template the next week. Even the workouts i moved to the "Workout archive" show the new updated values. Hence, I am unable to use this to keep a record of my previous workout more than a week. Please help..

SEND HELP! At 09:14 you say that you can change your daily workouts if they are consistent. My workouts are. I've changed day 1,2,3 but when I make a new workout week with the button it is gone :( and i don't want that. What did I wrong?

Hi I added walking to my exercises (I use treadmill almost every day so want to keep track) I add it to lower body but when I go to the day to add it, it doesn’t show in the list of exercises. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

I love the tracker :D But all of my archived sessions deleted themself. Does anybody know what to do? Even if i dont put them in Archive they are gone after a few days. Evertyhing else in Notion stays the same

I love this template and have been using it for around 2 months. However, more often than not, I go into notion to discover all my rows are deleted from my workout week, including the ones from my archive. I still use the template as its easy to make and store workouts but god is it annoying when I can't track my progress of see what needs to be done in the next few days when it deletes everything. If anyone has had a similar problem or know a solution, please let me know. I'm sure it's a problem I have created but any help would be appreciated
