NHRA Fall Nationals Top Alcohol Dragster & Funny Car After Round 2 Report | Stampede of Speed 2023

WE HAVE OUR FIRST TOP ALCOHOL WORLD CHAMPION OF 2023! Round two of NHRA Lucas Oil Top Alcohol competition proved to be just as exciting as the first - the upsets and top performances continued at the Texas Motorplex! In funny car Kyle Smith took down Sean Bellemeur and that opened a door for Doug Gordon to walk through which he did for the #NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car World Championship. For the dragsters Angelle Sampey and the Michalek Brothers Racing outfit will make a semi-final round appearance while Shawn Cowie reminded us all that blown methanol dragsters can still dig.

It's insane, but many fans leave and go to the pits unless Top Fuel and Funny Car are running. I don't get it. They are missing some good racing.
