Blame the ones who made Sonic Team for putting too much pressure on them while making the game. Besides, they didn't want to delay it because they made a promise to everyone and didn't want anyone to be angry at a delay, even at Sonic's 15th anniversary. But still, I think they should just released a Sonic 1 remake for his 15th anniversary and released this game a year or two.

Crisis City kinda gave me City Escape vibes with Sonic starting of the level snow boarding and the level ending with Sonic getting chased by something huge
imagine... relaunch, with all bugs and glitches fixed, with better gameplay and graphics of next gen, and even maybe better story line... it should be a successful game

Crisis City's intro is probably my favourite level intro of all time. Starts off with the tense violins, Sonic boarding down a rusty rail using a bit of a building, "the whole city's on fire!" and buildings exploding
honestly this level always felt so cool. like you could see what they were going for, and they almost got it, but the game's engine was holding it back
I mean this version fully immerses you in the destruction and chaos that's going on as you traverse the level. The one in Generations feels like everything has already been destroyed (with only one or two explosions at most), so it doesn't have any sense of urgency aside from the tornado bit.
I'm very impressed. You actually made this level look not just playable, but easy! And this level is notorious for its glitches like invisible walls that cause you to die and falling to your death in the Mach speed section for no reason. Well done!
Here's something that bothers me: If Solaris's ambition was to completely destroy all of reality, why didn't Iblis and Mephiles fuse together when Elise was said to have died in that Egg Carrier crash, since Iblis was sealed inside her. If she died, Iblis would be free and Mephiles could accomplish his goal, which wouldn't ruin a world, but rather make it so that it NEVER existed. But now that I think about it, Mephiles was sealed within the Scepter of Darkness by Shadow, so they would both have to be free in order to reunite. But in Silver's timeline, we saw both Iblis and Mephiles free at the same time, so what gives? Maybe I'm overthinking it.

I guaranteed that if this game has a relaunch version (something like "sonic the hedgehog: the iblis trigger", "sonic the hedgehog: definitive edition" or even "sonic adventure 3") it will become a great hit and a succesful game for next gen
Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) might just be the greatest videogame ever conceived. I dare say it’s humanity’s greatest accomplishment. Peak Fiction, even - Zenith of the medium. Phenomenal level design, outstanding graphics, a deep and compelling story that’ll leave the player wanting more. God, I fucking love this game.

I won't say it about other levels and the game itself, but this level really deserves a second chance, without bugs and glitches. It is really cool and epic! Thank god it is reused on sonic generations. And the porters are also working to recreate the stage of 2006.
The story is one of the darkest of Sonic stories to date IMO, I mean a flames of disaster (not to mention iblis is another name for the devil as far as I remember) and mephiles is pretty dark, they made eggman darker and the graphics are nice imo, especially kingdom valley and crisis city. The story is good but there are lots of plot holes, if they expanded on the story and made some things more clear and maybe gave it more depth it'd be good too I believe. The story is just rushed, but the base is good, so if they fill in the gaps it'd be really good imo. I also think they should make it so that you can play the 3 stories in any order instead of unlocking them (and completing all 3 stories would unlock final story)... add the day night cycle of the trailer and perhaps add like 4 or 5 more stages (perhaps the past 10 years ago being one of them) based off the story, fix the glitches and make it smoother, and maybe make boss fights for amy (when she gets mad about sonic and elisa haha) and maybe blaze or rouge or knuckles and remix the music, and it'll be the best sonic game imo. :D Besides the gameplay I see here isn't all that glitched, I don't really know why its so hated, I mean... I didn't play the game but I can clearly tell it isn't all that idiotic and bad as people say it is... except for sonic and elise's relationship lolz. XD
I know. Not only that, people always complain about the combat system. They never work with the ability that they already have; they can actually make their own combos with their powers as sonic shadow and silver. I love this game and I am going to buy it again soon.

Yes they are outdated now, yes they aren't as huge of a graphical leap as say Sonic Unleashed is but back in 2006 for a 360 title these graphics (the graphics themselves not necessarily the presentation) were great and on par with other titles released at the time. No games at the time were a very huge leap in visuals from the previous generation. They were noticeably better just like this game is, but they weren't that big of a leap by comparison to games released a few years later. Please don't call every aspect of this game bad because the art style isn't to your preference. You guys are better than that. You can hate the game for its horrible qualities yet still acknowledge when something is done legitimately well like the music and yes the graphics. They look how an Xbox 360 game at the time would look and do not look like a PS2 game with HD texture packs applied nor are the graphics bad or tedious in any way. What are you on about? This looks around the same pace as the adventure games. Sonic was never exclusively about super speed gameplay wise past the first or second level, it has been more about platforming at a decent pace. Look at Scrap Brain Zone or Labyrinth in Sonic 1, Metropolis Zone in Sonic 2, Sandopolis in S3&K as examples. Contrary to what the Unleashed generation thinks, a good platforming Sonic game isn't pressing a boost button and pressing left/right on reaction.
Sonic 06 may not have been a great Sonic game, but this level is fucking awesome. I'm glad they chose this level as Sonic 06's "representative" level for Sonic Gen.

One thing I will say is that the music in this game is G-R-E-A-T, almost every Sonic game has amazing music (except for the 2D like music in forces)

Sonic 06 may not have been a great Sonic game, but this level is fucking awesome. I'm glad they chose this level as Sonic 06's "representative" level for Sonic Gen.

The best Stage and music Ever and idk what cause this to be on fire but at list it gives it character to make The stage For Dangerous and Epic
