He was a master at using his body to shield off the coverage. Cowboys need another guy like Irvin who could both brag AND back it up with his play.
I came to this video to see how 88 would get off press man coverage. He just ran right off because he was too strong for the corners. Today’s WRs have to do all these jab steps to get off the line. That’s what we see Deion and Chad Johnson always joking about who could do better against each other. But Michael, Megatron, and Sterling Sharpe didn’t even entertain the thought of being pressed! Deion could even do that with Jerry, 88 wasn’t having it!
