    Key piece of info I demonstrated but didn't talk about is that when they charge-throw, their Javs knock enemies down! Can be VERY useful!

    Um, I love Imperial Javelins. They're one of my favorite units. This is my first time actually seeing the javelin militia's capabilities, and I'm floored at how they have such a unique and awesome ability with that charge. I can't believe they didn't carry it over to the imperial javelins, lol. Why not? Imperial Javelins have great melee capabilities on their veterancy line and it would fit so perfectly. Definitely hurts the heart to see this.
    This video definitely has peaked my interest in using this unit, though. Awesome content!

      IIRC Imperials had a charge in like season 1, but it was considered too powerful and got removed or smth, idk.
      They are a fun little unit and their charge-throw knocks stuff down so you have shenanigans to play with :)

    This is probably late but, I would say to not take the 16% charge damage and unlock sprint instead, for faster resupply and positioning

    I'm glad you nailed the Veterancy line. That is the exact one I was using.
    The only thing you missed about the unit is that the javalins thrown during the charge knock down enemy units hit. This means you can essentially charge through some units since they will be knocked down and unable to defend or attack.
    I personally put every javalin doctrine on them to just be that much more of a support unit. Charge a unit of Fortebraccios and disrupt their brace so the rest of the team can push in, or charging into braced modaos to CC them for allied units is also a good tactic.

    • @KnightStalker

      Oh noes! I did forget to mention that even when demonstrating it :/
      Thats like... one of their key bonuses too - doh!

  • @VMontemezzo

    I wonder why they are the only javelin unit able to charge. The other should be able too even at cost of a veterancy point

    • @KnightStalker
      @KnightStalker  3 года назад +1

      IIRC the Imperials had a charge back in like season 1, but it was considered too powerful and was removed!

      @@KnightStalker IMO, they could create a javelin/sword unit that could have a javelin charge and then engage in melee.
      Think it to be like the valks where u could swap bettewen weapons.

    I have some doubts, I would like to know if the Javelin Demesne would be better because it has nodes with increased ammo and (shot damage) and block formation on veterancy. Thanks for the video, you gave me another option besides pike militia ! :) keep the good content.

    • @KnightStalker
      @KnightStalker  2 года назад +1

      They are ok. They have more shots but no close combat ability so its a bit of a trade off. Im more comfortable with the Militia, personal preference :)
      Side note, both have had a small buff since this video was released

      @@KnightStalkerThanks for your response. Just one more question if you can answer it: the two upped nodes shown in the video indicate increased damage (melee) but I'm still suspicious that they also increase the damage of the throw (I don't have the upped nodes) could you clarify this one :)

    Great vid as always. I just wondering that in your opinion which low tier Jav unit is better jav militia, demense jav and black dragon jav?

    • @KnightStalker
      @KnightStalker  3 года назад +1

      I haven't tried the demesne javs more than a few games yet so I dont have a good feel for them but the Jav Militia I would take over the Black Dragons any day. Black Dragons have piss poor aim, are sluggish and are terrible in melee even with their shield throw, they also dont have the knockdown utility of the militia

  • @ZamboanganFamily

    My favorate green unit. U should do veterancy on both lines up to the charge and to the sprint. Do not elite them so u have both skills.

    Now I want to see Demense Javelins 😉. But in all seriousness, I have loved Javelin Militia ever since beta. Imagine Imp Javelineers with a charge ability!? Probably bottom line as it'd be the same charge as the militia variant. Throw Javelins then actually charge. It'd make the bottom line actually viable

    I'm really curious about the Dagger Lancer cav because their bottom vet line has "unlock charge" ability, I wonder if it's something like the united charge.

    • @KnightStalker
      @KnightStalker  3 года назад

      Dagger Axe Cav are honestly pretty darn bad. They don't perform well with the charge or their follow up - especially when comparing them to the amazing Armiger Lancers.
      I think you will be disappointed if you spend time to invest in the unit, but if you like the aesthetics, why not?

    yeah no thanks. I was interested in them as a second green tier unit besides the arquebusiers but they seem very lackluster compared to some of the better green tier units. Them doing less than 1k damage with their charge against the archers really shows how useless that is and the 1k javelins themselves can only really kill 3 full health t4 infantry models if they all hit the same targets. Meanwhile ironcap swords have the mobilty to keep pounding the enemy with the short charge cd, pike militia has a lot of utility, and arquebusiers have more damage and more ammo for the same amount of models in the unit

    • @KnightStalker
      @KnightStalker  3 года назад

      I respect that opinion!
      With the Ironcap Arqs receiving a heft nerf this season, I kinda prefer these guys now! After playing with them a lot for the video I have really enjoyed them - don't forget that the throw when they charge knocks enemies down, you can mess up Fortes and all sorts of stuff with them - so they have utility.
      The ironcaps cant shuffle volley now and do 25% less damage to heroes, so I find they are kinda static and naff :/
