This has actually happened to at least one pitcher. Stanton managed to hit Tanaka with a line drive during batting practice. He was alright but it definitely looked pretty bad.

I still say that the a new rule needs to be in place. "If the pitcher is struck in the head by a hit baseball the play is ruled dead, and the batter is automatically given first base. And if the bases are loaded, the ball is ruled dead, no runners advance" to many times, you see a scramble for the ball, the pitchers is laying and the field, not moving, make the play dead, get help to the pitcher immediately
This reminds me of when I played a co-op game with my friends and one of them hit a 113 mph ball with Rafael Devers to the face of Merril Kelly and he gotten taken out the game with a concussion
Agreed, when that happens realistically the ball is still in play no matter what happens. Thats what makes the show such an amazing baseball video game, It is what it is.
Interesting how they managed to work injuries in, I suppose next they can integrate either umpire bullshit or fans throwing shit on the field. We need this.

Its the default camera angle and hitting which is PCI.
Your swing and position have to both be on the ball to hit, it’s actually a really good way of playing. makes it very realistic.
