U can't separate muscle heads for any body Parts physically impossible all heads work together no matter what exercises you do he is wrong unfortunately
The triceps comprises 3 muscles which do indeed work together. However, different exercises do preferentially target different portions of the triceps which means you can target the 3 heads separately. Yes, they all work together BUT they all do slightly different things so he is abslutely correct in his advice. For example, only the long head crosses the shoulder joint so a full extension involving the shoulder will hit the long head more than the medial and lateral heads.
Thank you to whoever is uploading these vids.

@carolinescott7062 no 3 heads attached to one tendon in elbow all work together u don't know what your talking about
Pretty easy to feel the difference in what heads of the tricep are more targeted depending on shoulder position.
@ATappin shoulder position means nothing it's just a feeling. all 3 heads attached to 1 tendon in elbow doesn't matter what position your in
The origins of the heads do matter, and that is true despite the heads having a common insertion. It's anatomical science my guy.
Thank you John ❤
Such a nice dude no ego just a wealth of knowledge miss you big time❤
