Nice sound guys! It is important to mention pitch and successfull Church Slavonic pronouncing. Can hear that bass is Russian or has Russian roots 😉 Being a choral conductor I lead Nikolsky Ensemble. You may wish to listen to “Our Father” by another famous Russian composer P. Tchaikovsky on our channel.
Lovely, beautiful rich tone. I can only find it scored as SATB and generally pitched a third higher. Is this your own arrangement or can I find it somewhere? What did the fifth voice do?
@@lonewaer Faint growl? Absolutely not! It's booming. If you're not hearing it well then your sound system is not balanced for bass frequencies or your ears aren't sensitive.

Thank you, glad you liked it! Here's the TTBB version we used (though we did it in Ab rather than G): www.cpdl.org/wiki/images/e/ef/Oche_nash-Kedrov.pdf - we generally doubled the 1st tenor, except at the ends of the verses and the final bars, where we added low fifths for a little extra oomph.
Ah brilliant thanks, I clearly didn’t look hard enough! Will give it a go! 😀 You guys really sounded fantastic, lovely solid sound, powerful and dense polyphony. I guess 5 parts all in the lower ranges in close harmony can give it that lovely feel. Will have a listen to some of your other stuff, thanks Martyn
Отче наш, Иже еси на небесех! Да святится имя Твое, да приидет Царствие Твое, да будет воля Твоя, яко на небеси и на земли. Low G#1 at the end? Not sure but I think I can hear it
Yes. It was screaming!
@@fiveoctaves It was a faint growl you mean. It is there, it's just not voluminous, certainly not screaming.

@@fiveoctaves it was faint at best.
@@carolinasmedicalillustrati6760 You must have the same problem as lonewaer.
