Thank you. As a member of a small group of Slavonic Orthodox Christians in the Church I attend in England (which is mainly Greek Orthodox) I need to say the Lord's Prayer in Russian with my brothers and sisters. I know it in Serbian, but not Russian. Your thoughtful and well-paced reading and translation from English has made this much easier. Peace be with you.

There is a message or rumor going around that those different pastors from the different churches.are coraling and rounding up the church congregations to be in deems camps. Mary, I would love to see an alliance not only among the three great language groups of Christian Europe, but between the United States and Russia. Imagine it, this would unite the two greatest Christian nations who are strong and willing to fight for their beliefs.
I have very similar ideas based on the the rosary. I am not catholic but find it to be a beautiful prayer aid. My Goal is to be able to say all prayers in English, Russian, Italian and Latin. My goal is for it to force me to SLOW down the prayer so they are not not plain repetition which the Bible forewarns us of but by using different languages to force me to pay attention and meditate on the prayers and what they represent.
I’ve been trying to teach myself Russian for a little bit. I am definitely gonna follow your channel this was the best video I have ever seen in teaching me how to enunciate the words. Lord Jesus ... Let love rain, like sweet mercy from heaven. Let mercy flow like waves and waves flowing richly from the heart of God. May love arise ... may mercy come forth ... may love and mercy bring forth hearts of compassion. Compassion for the lost, compassion for the thirsty, compassion for the hungry, compassion for the poor, compassion for the homeless, compassion for others. Not in just words or deeds done, but from the depths of the heart seeking to give Glory to God through open arms embracing the needs of others. May we look with the heart of God. May we see with his eyes or mercy and compassion and may we do all things to His Glory. For the river of God is love, may it flow richly through us. For the river of God is sweet mercy, may it flow richly through us. For the river of God is compassion, may they see it in our eyes, hear it from our hearts and see it through open arms embracing the needs of others. ---- May we place others even before ourselves and all love like Jesus.
I heard a more archaic version more reminiscent to Church Slavonic, here is the romance transliteration: Otche nash izhe jeci na nebesekh Da svjatitsja imja tvojo Da priidet Tsarstvie Tvajo da budet volja tvoja jako na nebeci I na zemli Hleb nash nasushnyi dazhd’ nam zdez’ I ostavi nam dolgi nasha jakozhe my ostavljaem dolzhnikom nashim I ne vedi nas vo iskushenie no izbavi nas ot lukavavo
This is the way my ancestors have been saying it since about 1760. This is the way I learnt it also. We also sing it, acapella. This part, we say before formal meals or before meals celebrating a special occasion. It is said after the Отче наш is said. Oh my, this is much more difficult for me than the Greek was... It's actually quite easy for me to read and understand these words, but it's VERY difficult for my mouth-muscles to pronounce them correctly without repeating them 100 times, and even then I forget everything after less than 1 hour... I thought Greek was difficult, but compared to Russian, Greek is easy! (Of course, I'm handicapped by being an English-speaker; English is so twisted and weird that once you learn it, there is not a whole lot of room left in your brain for any other language... I can't even speak Italian anymore.
I think it would have been a good idea to give the actual version which is prayed in Russian orthodox churches and is the Synodal Slavonic version rather than this russian one which I personally never heard in our churches. It is the one given in phonetic transcript by Cerrnismirt down here

jakozhe my ostavljaem dolzhnikom nashim

Two corrections -
(1) Hleb nash nasushnyi dazhd' nam DNES'
(2) jakozhe I my ostavljaem...
This is the Church Slavonic "Our Father"
