Would you go with Dell 27” AW2725DF OLED over the MSi??? Looking to get one. I don’t know which one’s better and I can’t find a video on a side-by-side comparison if you could help. Thank you.
I haven't seen the MSI in person so I can't really tell much difference. But all these new monitors are coming out with QD-OLED, so basically the same for all. If I play 1440p I would definitely take Dell 27" and the reason is to secure the warranty and in my experience their customer support is better as opposed to other brands.
Until some dust put on the blades or the bearing get broken ....then you will begin to hear the fan...guaranteed! Otherway the cheapest you can buy of these 3 monitors and even the new Samsung G80SD also, that is the best, price differing way too much from region to region and continent to continent. The image with little tweak outs is almost identical on all 4 monitors, all have OLED flicker with VRR enabled, all have some fringing with text rendering despite being 4k and 3rd gen QD OLED panels (but as a very sensitive person to such artefacts I can tell you it's negligibile, and after one week or 2 your brain will learn to auto hide it), fixed BFI is a scam because you should hit exactly 120 Hz for a tear free experience, given that the VRR is not functioning with BFI enabled and will introduce also some marginal Motion Blur, with all you will have some problems to burn in waranties about the way you managed all their anti burn in protections and having also the last update made at the time of appearance (even they all mention burn in is 3 years covered) and so on. So final : the cheapest you can get, buy it! This will help also in the event that you want to resell it, believe me. You will have better advantage, if you buy cheaper. About the image, any of these 4 monitors give you the pinnacle in consumer grade in actual Computer Monitor tech. There will be no regrets. These QD OLED's produce the most vibrant and pop up pictures available, with Micro LEd's being the exception. But that costs way way way more. About playing and watching HDR with full scale Brightness and Full Scale Contrast, and maybe maximum Color Vibrance, that is high degree stupidity. Human eyes, are not designed to look for hours in a lamp of 1000 nits, with great contrast.

NB : I don't use HDR, it's too bright for me. Conclusion : From Odyssey G7 1440p -> Q OLED 4K it's an other universe, just fantastic : if you can and don't need extra features buy the Alienware.

It's interesting here in Sweden the dell cost 13500kr, asus 17990kr, and MSI cost 16900kr. I'm getting the Dell monitor for my birthday, unless the Gigabyte will prove itself the best.
The conclusions here are all skewed for everyone in Europe, especially UK 1)Dell AW is about £910 and available 2) Asus out of stock in UK and only available from 1 place and £1400 delivered - plus you play roulette with Asus Warranty cover (see Gamer Nexus for the exposé on their scam warranty service) 3) MSI out of stock too and about £1350ish We're talking £490 difference from Dell (cheapest) to Asus (most expensive) so the question that should be asked is, is the asus or MSI worth £400+ more? I'm not sure it is for minimal performance differences..
There is one elephant in the room. WARRANTY! I have not had good luck with MSI motherboard warranty in the past. Have not used ASUS warranty, but I have used Dell for an older 27: 240 ips monitor, and it is fantastic. They will cross ship if you send them pics of the issue and file the claim. Was that mentioned here?
The Dell is a whopping >£350 CHEAPER than the other two, here in the UK, and if you register as a new customer with Dell, they give you a £50 discount - that, IMO, makes the Dell a 'no brainer', and I've ordered one today.

Any infomation about the german prices?
Geh einfach mit Dell, MSI und vor allem ASUS sind völlig bescheuert mit ihren Preisen
Great comparison!
What would you recommend for PS5?
Alienware
I had the Inzone M9 first. Then upgraded to Samsung Neo G8 finally keeping the Dell 32 inch OLED. WHICH Blows the other 2 out of the water !
Thanks for the update got the same one and I'm very happy with it too.
I have the alienware monitor. don't let the curve scare you away. it is barely noticeable. matter of fact I don't even know my screen is curved most of the time. it looks straight up flat because of the OLED viewing angles.
the dolby vision issues is the reason to not buy dell until the firmware is fixed
@@mbvx7 has it been fixed yet?
@@bachcomic yep. they released all bnew Firmware and everything is perfect now.. I bought it. The monitor is fantastic.
where i can find the firmware?
I guess I'm going to wait out the MSI. Honestly, the thing that scares me most about the Dell is all the reviews I've read that mention shipping damage. And the price of the MSI is a nice selling point.
Hopefully they'll get some of the supply issues sorted soon.
Holding out for the gigabyte. They typically put a kvm switch on these types of monitors
in Italy both the MSI and Asus cost 250€ and 350€ more than the Dell, for me it's a no brainer to pick anything other than the Dell at that price.
What about the LG???
i picked up the Alienware when my lg c3 went dead so i still have time to switch again but at the moment the Alienware gives a good picture as the lg did ......
Why is MSI's bezel grey 😓😓
more fo32u2p info plz.
The Gigabyte definitely seems promising, hopefully they price it aggressively!
yeah nah i agree with the end on price, except i wont buy this i will wait till they improve hdr brightness in asus OLED
I'm prepared to pay the extra for the Asus to get BFI, I really want to see if retro gaming on an OLED is closer to CRT smoothness now in 2024.
Bfi at 120 Hz without VRR or any of those Sync Modes IS totally useless and overblown
But which monitors have all those technologies firing all at once?@@noperider1234
There isnt an OLED that I'm aware of that allowed for any other modes when using BFI so your point is a little moot. For Mame/Retroarch with shaders etc this monitor could be a game changer if BFI improves motion clarity to replicate old CRTs @@noperider1234
Hi guys,
My quick review about the Alienware sold in Europe (France at least) 500€ less than the other screens :
- I use firefox dark mode : I must come close to my screen to see the difference between the black displayed on the Firefox window and the plastic border of the monitor ;
- During a black loading screen the Alienware is darker than my Odyssey G7 switched off ;
- The monitor is already calibrated, there is the certificate in the box so I don't even try to enhance it.
NB : I don't use HDR, it's too bright for me.
Conclusion : From Odyssey G7 1440p -> Q OLED 4K it's an other universe, just fantastic : if you can and don't need extra features buy the Alienware.
MSI MPG321URX getting an Upgrade in 2025. (Shown on CES 2025) The MSI MPG322URX with DP 2.1, and 98W USB C from 90W Which makes it the new Best Monitor. just my personal opinion
the prices are so annoyingly different. here in sweden the msi and asus are 1600 euro and the alienware 1100 euro
I wish thw asus had display port 2.1, this it whats holding me back.
For what reason?
There is no GPU with DP 2.1 @ UHBR-20 and even if there was it wouldn't do anything, do you really think you can tell if DSC is on or not? You cannot!
@@Sean-fj9pn I will be grabbing a 5090 when it comes out just dont see the point in having a card with 2.1 and a $1200 monitor with 1.4 while the msi meg coming in spring will have 2.1 . id rather future proof thats my preference.
i would hopnestly go for ASUS but availability is hard in EU and as well as the price is actually a 300-350 difference against DELL. So, i am really torned if i will dish out 350 more. Honestly, it's just the curved nature of DELL that kind makes me think a bit more on whether getting Dell Alienware.
I have 2 of the Asus. 1 of the Alienware.
I have to say that slight curve on the Alienware is perfect.
I prefer it to the Asus.
That said, the LG Flex is still the best monitor.
It's interesting here in Sweden the dell cost 13500kr, asus 17990kr, and MSI cost 16900kr. I'm getting the Dell monitor for my birthday, unless the Gigabyte will prove itself the best.
As a console owner, MSI is the clear winner here. Although, I really wish there was DV support, and there wasn’t a paywall for firmware updates.
@2:25 AMD Free-Sync premium technology - No (for the Alienware model)
The conclusions here are all skewed for everyone in Europe, especially UK
1)Dell AW is about £910 and available
2) Asus out of stock in UK and only available from 1 place and £1400 delivered - plus you play roulette with Asus Warranty cover (see Gamer Nexus for the exposé on their scam warranty service)
3) MSI out of stock too and about £1350ish
We're talking £490 difference from Dell (cheapest) to Asus (most expensive) so the question that should be asked is, is the asus or MSI worth £400+ more? I'm not sure it is for minimal performance differences..
There is one elephant in the room. WARRANTY! I have not had good luck with MSI motherboard warranty in the past. Have not used ASUS warranty, but I have used Dell for an older 27: 240 ips monitor, and it is fantastic. They will cross ship if you send them pics of the issue and file the claim. Was that mentioned here?
The Dell is a whopping >£350 CHEAPER than the other two, here in the UK, and if you register as a new customer with Dell, they give you a £50 discount - that, IMO, makes the Dell a 'no brainer', and I've ordered one today.
in italy none of them available and definitely terrible prices here in eu
My fiance bought me the msi 27 inch 180hz monitor. Its so nice. Its way better then my 75hz Asus 24 inch monitor.
in the UK there is only £50 between the MSI and the Asus, while the Dell is £310 cheaper than the MSI
Dell £989
MSI £1299
Asus £1350
LOL...I'm looking forward to the day when a monitor that can natively switch between 4k/1440p/1080p for any need the user has. We are half way there with the new Dual Resolution monitors now. I'll be looking to get either the Asus or LG version.
pretty sure dell and most high monitors do that with pc drivers...
@@gaspackgriff9725 I guess LG and Asus are late to the party then.
@@chrisbullock6477 yea my $200 32 in curved 2k dell can run all that natively thru drivers. Same w 4K and it downscales w no latency
IMO, Which ever is cheaper
Gigabyte FO32U2P for 80Gb/s DP 2.1
Was definitely leaning towards MSI
How can you do a review without even testing them. Waste of time review
Lol
Dell comes in first for us who prefer curved screens
I have curved g6 samsung new one month old give me dizziness many ppl in reddit same problem
Add Gigabyte to the list please
just setup the Asus model. IMO its worth the money, the looks build quality alone is worth the money.
strange how Dell is so much cheaper in Europe than US
Sorry, but the MSI with a 1998 desk stand and a tacky dragon on the back can never be a best option.
Sadly all those 3 are DP 1.4, which disqualify all 3 of them for me. And nobody gives a flying eff about HDMI anymore (because reasons - major one of them NO HDMI 2.1 support for Linux). Gotta wait for MSI MEG 321URX and Gigabyte Aorus FO32U2P and HP Omen Transcent 32 actual reviews to see if and which ones of them have DP 2.1 and Dolby Vision actually present. Also the slide you show for Dell, it does state clearly "AMD FreeSync™ Premium Technology: No" ... I mean "NO" means it does not have it, you did say it has.
Dell is king the curve is amazing
ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDM 32" £1,348.99 ($1727.08) item due on 29 April 2024
MPG 321URX QD-OLED £1,298.99 ($1663.06) Item due on 07 May 2024
Alienware 32 4K QD-OLED AW3225QF £989.00 ($1266.19) and only one you can actually buy now in the UK massively cheaper total rip off outside USA by ASUS an MSI
Asus £359.99 ( $460.50) more expensive than Dell and not available yet
MSI £309.99 ($396.88) more expensive than Dell and not available yet
So in UK the choice has to be Dell as they all use the exact same panel and the other two try to rip off anyone outside the US
To be fair i think it's to early to make a video like the since not all brands r out there yet but o understand so thanks for the video:)
I am from saudi all brands you mentioned came to us double the prices LG here cheaper then US i wish you add LG
Australia Prices:
Alienware: $1900
MSI: $2200
Asus: $2750
Since the MSI MAG doesn't have firmware updates, it's no contest. The Dell wins.
Have you reconsidered the MAG as it can update the firmware now? Managed to get the AW32 for $1200AUD at JB
I definitely want neither, all of them have DP 1.4
And? What magical difference are you hoping for with DP 2.1?
You cannot tell if DSC is on or off even when using test patterns and magnifying glass.
@@Sean-fj9pn yes you can and dsc has a lot of specific issues like black screens and flicker when using gsync ormother type of vrr and displaying hdr coontent, look it up before makig a magical fool of yourself.
@@InFlamesor12 i currently own the AW3225QF, i have yet to come across any issues with DSC, if i have ive never noticed them.
@@fox_3591 Well done, try enabling vrr and play games in HDR. Try alt tabbing in games when HDR and vrr is on. You'll have a bad time.
@@InFlamesor12 The only fool is yourself, I own multiple monitors with DSC and even more without, so I don't need to look anything up - the only discernible issue with DSC is a 1 second blank screen when alt tabbing from exclusive full screen. Also, DLDSR doesn't work but that doesn't matter on a 4K panel.
MSI in my home country is an idiot by bringing in only the MAG version, which doesn't have firmware update support, and it's much more expensive than the Dell Alienware. Asus, all the while, has always been selling overpriced stuffs. So the AW3225QF is the winner for me.
Waiting for 4k 27 inch oled
Confirmed next year 😎
Also a good choice! I think I've gotten used to 48" size now that even 32" may feel too small, let alone 27".
msi also have g-sync
in france the asus is "only" 100€ more than the msi so it makes it a better choice than the msi
If i was buying a monitor and have to chose the best one within several hundred $$ difference in price, i will buy the best picture quality one, not the so called "bestvalue" one because i will (and you will too) regret later.
UK:
ASUS $1730
MSI $1650
DELL: $1208
😅
just buy the cheapest one. they are all the same
ASUS BFI is useless, you have to disable adaptive sync, HDR and halved the framerate.
MSI is $1438 USD here in Australia / and Asus $1762 USD, so neither are of good value, looks like QD-OLED is a PASS next please try again in 2025/26 the Dell on the other hand is $1174 so get the win. (but apparently has poor packaging and scratches the panel on shipping as no protective film..... fail.) So its a fail from all three.
here the msi and Asus cost the same only 50 dollar difference
Who makes the panel? Either you don't know or you're planning the political correct game to not point out the fact that none of these manufacturers actually make own panels.
Samsung
Very useful video for you lucky Americans 😅
MSI and DELL, they will tell u what issues on their product and tell u when gonna fix it, but ASUS, our product is perfect and no problem at all!! If any problem is your own problem
Keep lying for ASUS, their new product is facing HZ and HDR issues but u hide it, I don't think aw3235qf fan noise issue is worst than HDR broken and HZ is lower
Asus EU price is ridicilious so I am buying Dell.
Still 16:9 monitors in 2024......gross. Ultrawide or nothing...
Asus is the winner for me
That’s what I ordered
