Put the 2018+ Connect 4 radio into your pre 2018 QQ.
The 2017QQ looks great but the media system is old and dated. I love the car but wanted Android Auto. I stumbled across this thread - www.qashqaifor...
Thank you to all that have made this possible and supported each other on there. This forum is the best place to ask questions, probably not in the comments on this video.
There's a lot there, but all of it is well worth the read if you want to try this really useful and exciting upgrade.

You certainly won't see everything you need in this video.. The quality is awful I'm afraid - I didn't have a tripod and trying to do some of this with one hand is near impossible. Plus I had already done some parts (eg the wiring harness) before thinking of a video. It is just a quick visual aid to what needs doing and what you might expect to see if attempting this yourself.
Cost - I paid £150 for a head unit off eBay,
Around £10 for the connectors and wires (mostly Aliexpress)
Around £10 for the trim tool and pin removal tool (Amazon)
£105 to Nissan for radio unlock OR (more recommended now) 69euros for the CANbus filter.
So around £230 for the upgrade (ignoring the 105 i paid to Nissan that I wouldn't now pay). I got around £150 for my old head unit. So £80 and some time is well worth this update!!

what a amazing work you did!
I am going to do something similar in my wife's Micra K14 with 2018 HU with Car Apple Play but no Android auto to replace with 2019 HU with both Apple end Android. I am missing two connectors now, the antenna one (Gray, the existing one looks similar but in fact is different,) and the 40 pin connector in to the new HU. Where did you bought both of them?
Do you have the pin mapping for the harness - original one to the new one - you can share?
The NISSAN dealer said that the replacement is not possible but in fact you proved it is!

Good effort! I can't take credit, I have only brought together and added a couple of extra bits from others on qashqai forums. Check out the link on the description here, to qashqai forums and you'll find all the links to plugs and the wiring diagram. Look for posts from vanginger! Large connector came from AliExpress. The aerial one I can't remember off the top of my head but was a UK place. It's in the forum

You must be bored!! Garage won't do it, because it's not a thing that they accept is possible!! Was hard enough getting them to decode it, some wouldn't! I started it in May, but with Chinese delivery times, waiting on Nissan booking and a few lessons learned, only just completed completely.
Now, knowing what I know, could probably knock it all together in about 2 or 3 hours. I've spent around £450 but I tried an extra radio, so getting around £350 back for selling 2 radios. Now you could buy a updated radio for about £150 if you time it right, sell the old one for similar, so just have to spend £20 on the tools and connectors and £60 on the filter board.
