    Thanks for the detailed post. I was making a sweater for my daughter's dog and wondered how it worked and if it would be worth messing with. This was helpful.

    Great tutorial! Thank you for explaining everything.. but I'm brand new at Ravelry and can't figure out how to get the PRO tab?! I've finished uploading everything that you just explained and now I'm stuck 😭 (without the PRO tab I can't get to the "manage shop" button)

    Thank you for sharing! Where do you do your crochet workshops? There are some people that want me to do knitting workshops but I am having trouble finding a venue outside of a coffeeshop. ~Page

      Try the public library. They have rooms designated for teaching classes!

      Hi! I do my workshops locally in Italy where I live. I either do them in a coffee shop myself, but what I'd rather do is in a public workspace. You can pay a fee and use public offices/workshop rooms which are really nice. I have hosted in my home before as well. If you're in the US it's a lot easier-you could host at a book store, a library, or even in a craft shop if they let you!

    Hi, thank you for sharing your tutorial. I would like to create my own pattern and publish it and sell. How do you get people to test you pattern and how to publish it? Do you have a tutorial on that? I made a beautiful design pattern on a chart already but didn’t know what to do to get it published so I can sell it. Will you help me?

      Hey no problem! For pattern testers you can find them in all kinds of crochet groups on Facebook, they even have groups just for testers. You just send them the pattern, they test it and write you back and then you publish it taking their notes into consideration. This is the best thing to do, but no one requires that you even get it tested. It's up to you.

    Question and I'm sure that this is going to sound stupid but how do I save it as a PDF?

      How do you save what as a PDF? A pattern?

    Hello! I recently started selling my patterns and I wanted to consult you: at 13:13 when you have your folders with different patterns I understand that the same pattern in different languages should be placed in the same folder. If a client buys a pattern in English (for example) and in a short time I add the same pattern to the folder in another language (example, french) the buyer can access both versions of the pattern ?? I would really apreciate if you can answer this 🙏🏻

      Hi! you can add several files to the same pattern in different languages. Yes they will be able to access the different versions. Just make sure you update your tags with those languages added.

    Whats the difference between the etsy and ravelry set up to sell parterns

    • @CraftwithJess
      @CraftwithJess  6 лет назад +1

      Well there are many differences in setting up. The main differences between the two platforms are that on Etsy you pay a % to Etsy for each sale. With Etsy unlike Ravelry you're allowed to have writing on the images and even the first image. In Etsy you can have a max of 10 photos for the listing and the whole concept of SEO with tags and titles is very different. In Ravelry you're really limited to SEO tags. However, according to my surveys in crochet groups many crocheters prefer to buy on Ravelry vs Etsy...it's just their go to website, so Ravelry has a big advantage.

      I have a Ravelry account but do I need to set up a different one to sell patterns from? If so how would I do that? Do you have a video or a suggested video to see the steps of how to set your account up to sell? This video has been very helpful. Thank you.
