My Grandparents, Frank and Hazel Betz, lived at 430 Fifth St., across from Jack Kaufman. VERY, very nice man who always had time to say 'hello". The park across the street that contained the Church and Liberty School was donated by my Great-Great Grandfather Jonathan Betz and his business partner Stephen Phillips. A commemorative plaque is still found in the stone wall that runs along Fourth Ave. at the corner of Fifth St. I still drive by the old homestead on my twice a year trips from Cleveland to tend the gravesites of my relatives up in Oak grove Cemetery. Still brings me waves of great memories from the heyday of one of the most beautiful little towns you ever saw.
