    When Xavi was first announced as barcelona’s new manager, the club was not in great shape. The biggest player in the clubs history left on a free and the club had over 1 billion euro of Dept, struggling to meet the astronomical wages of some of their key players. However, lever after lever, selling a big chunk of their tv rights and a massive sponsorship with spotify, the club somehow managed to very quickly steady the ship, and with xavi getting all the players he could’ve wished for, the ex Barcelona midfielder can now focus on getting the club back to its best, and his tactics are certainly up to the task.
    Xavi’s style of play has been compared to that of his former coach pep Guardiola, with the now Manchester city manager certainly having a major impact on how he sees the game.

    He may not be doing 99% better coaching than the rest of the coaches, but considering he's just starting out, whatever he's doing, it is definitely working for us. As a fan I'm satisfied with that and I'll give him all the time that he requires to get us to where we need to be. I'll be patient.❤

    what Barca became under Xavi, in the last season and the current one, is still the same ideas of his. What makes their early-season so explosive is the personnel. He has Lewy, a real man who can both dominate the box and have great impact on the build-up. He has an well-fit O.Dembele, an outstanding winger. In the midfield, the old Busi still remains the god of the single pivot role, Gavi is very dynamic and Pedri is showing signs that he is probably the successor of both Xavi and Iniesta as he can flexibly change from a playmaker like Xavi or a Mezzala like Iniesta with minimal drop in his already world-class performance . If they can push deep in the UCL and have a place in the top 3 of La Liga, I believe they will, they might have a great budget to sustain themselves and seek to upgrade their system to prepare for the post-Busi era. This, unlike the pos-Messi time, will be extremely challenging for the team as well as Xavi, as he loses the god that has been maintaining Barca's solid system all this time.

      Maybe a solution is rodri since he does play the same role as busi in Spain and city

    • @trungbui1762
      @trungbui1762 Год назад +1

      @@elijahgougon4301 no no no no. You are terribly wrong. Rodri is able to make play like Busi, but unable to carry the defensive burden like Busi can. He's just a demi-god compared to a true god. In Spain, I know Rodri always have a man staying close to him to help him defend the central areas. I think Football Meta should make a video about single pivot. There is a reason why the number of good players in this type of role are so rare. Even if you are the manager of a team with the caliber of Bayern. Man city, Real Madrid, you found a young player playing this role at a small club, let say he gets 7 or 8 points out of 10 as the single pivot, even if he costs your club 60-80m Euros, a price tag as high a good striker, you have to buy him.

    • @trungbui1762
      @trungbui1762 Год назад +2

      @Giwrgos Petrou i have studied some about the single pivot role. Even experts and analysts cannot identify the influence that role expresses on the pitch, why I have to care about the votes of journalists for something like Ballon d'Or, which is heavily altered by persenal emotions. I don't overrate Busquets, because I have fully understood his playing style, and i also hate Barcelona. To have a general view of how important and influential a single pivot can bring, you just need to look at Barcelona's midfield-trio of Busi, Xavi, Inesta. They stay very high and rarely drop back in transition because Busi could easily cover them. Being a pivot means you have to contribute to the team build-up in-possession and covering your guys to defend the central route as the team gets dispossessed. Single pivot means you have to do all of it on your own. If you hate Busi and call me a Uefalona fan, why don't you play a full-sized 11v11 pitch as a single pivot? Though I can only play futsal, learning just a little fraction from Busquets has helped me and the team a lot. I can now use the brain and imagination to create ideas for my teammates without even having the ball. Why don't you try it? I need to rephrase, very few people understands the impact a single pivot creates on the whole match. If you just rely on the "not even a top 20 player", sorry, you are just a trash kid to me.

    Finally, I love this Barça's ability to switch it up, they can dominate possession but can also hit teams on quick transitions with Dembele Raphinha Lewa (Reminds me of course of Luis Enrique/Rijkaard Barca).
    The 235 setup against laliga low blocks and 3223/3232 for big games if perfected will give teams so much problems. Most exciting part is this team isn't even at their best yet and they're still winning games and scoring so many goals. People will underestimate them, mock them and pray for their downfall but they will achieve special things this season(Busquet will not go out without a trophy). I can't wait for that March-April-May 2023 period, Barca will be back on top of the world.
    Dread it, run from it, Xavi's mark III will arrive.

    another reason they are able to contain 3 at the back is the versatility of kounde and balde, balde is has the ability to go to the midfield an back due to his attacking mindset. and kounde is actually not in his position in the first place so when the back 3 happens he’s going back to his natural position

    You can't say Xavi is over dependent on individuals. Then, remember, Koeman had Messi, Griezmann, Coutinho etc(Let's not discuss their form). But still Barca weren't this entertaining to watch. So, tactically Xavi may not be the best, but he definitely is a good man-manager.
    The thing that we may forget is that Xavi is a recent legend, so most players would respect his words in the dressing room(like Zizou). This definitely helps in making the team play his way.

      😂😂😂 Thankfully over here we actually watch games, Bayern were fighting their lives for most of the game, if Barca players took their chances you would be looking at a spanking. It's alright tho, they will get it in the return leg at the camp Nou.

      Bayern did get the result , that's true. But there were fine margins. Barcelona were not outclassed. They simply didn't get the ball into the net from a number of very good chances. Bayern will be smart enough to know it was a close result unlike you.

      @@SaddamOmar66 Bayern are farmers, yes. That’s literally the biggest compliment you can give them. The bundesliga would not a be a farmers league without bayern. People laugh at the bundesliga all they want but they strike quite a bit of fear into every club not named Real Madrid. Bayern won against Barca who seems to be very stacked while Bayern is not as strong as they used to be. Put some respect on that club.
