Measuring 30cm in height, this exquisite mechanical mantel clock features an impressive gold and white dial with neat roman numerals and breguet hands; a seperate seconds hand; and a unique skeleton design that allows high visibility into the inner gears of the mechanism. The overall design is made from solid wood with a cherry finish and black detailing; and bevelled glass on all 4 sides as well as the top to allow high visibility into the inner mechanisms from all angles.
This elegant clock is fitted with a high quality key wound 8-day 4/4 Westminster chime movement played on 4 polished bells made from solid brass, with a bell strike function & 11 jewel Swiss escapement. As this clock is an 8 day key wound chime mechanism it required winding once a week. It plays the famous Westminster chime quarterly and hourly, before striking the number of hours on the hour. To wind the clock you simply insert a key into the holes present in the dial. In addition to these features, the clock also features an automatic night-time shut-off to allow you a sound sleep, and a key drawer at the bottom of the timepiece for safe storage. The movement and the case are both 100% German made, ensuring an item of high quality.
