Replace your spur gear with a team associated gear, part number is ASC9653, it will get rid of that horrendous squeal. I bought the kit version and put a brushless setup in it, it runs pretty close to 40 mph with the gearing I have in it which is a little fast for this style of truck but its a blast, I've only busted the stock plastic steering horn so far with about 10 packs through it. But it was good to replace that with a metal one anyways, all of a $5 fix/upgrade.
That squeal! Wow, if you have ideas about how to quiet the drivetrain let me know. It’s the thing about this platform I dislike the most, is the sound it makes. So grating of a noise, I do like the sway handling and driving challenge. And it looks so cool!
I just started using this and found it made my race buggies noticably quieter www.amainhobbies.com/team-brood-pinion-gear-lube-1-2oz-bro-tbr-piniongearlube/p1224919
I've read that the Team Associated 84t spur gear, part no AS9653 is supposed to make it much quieter, haven't tried it myself yet but have one on order
I have always wanted the outlaw pro in silver, it has an excellent look to it. Just so many mixed reviews on durability ect. Especially when it comes to the hearing. Still on the fence. Nice video.
When the track reopens in 2021 there will be an effort to have buggies and trucks run weekly. Idea is 1 week 4WD and 1 week 2WD. We don’t have enough time in one evening to do all in buggy and truck.
Hey how's the mesh? Neat bit of kit MOA like a crawler with trophy truck 4 link wonder what it would be like brushless? Kinda looks like a old tamiya hornet rear axle Cool truck dude.
I set the mesh myself and greased all the gears after the spur stripped first run on factory mesh. See my video about replacing the gears on this truck from 2 weeks ago.
i just got mine and already have a tone of problems with it. First problem is that when i try to adjust the steering trim to the right it doesn't go to the right and it just makes the wheels strait but not completely. so it will only go to the left. another problem is one of the wheels is getting stuck on something i dont know if its a screw or what but i can go to my rc shop and get it looked at. If you could tell me what is wrong with my steering trim that would be great
Yes that’s what this day was, with a truck focus. I was first to arrive. There might be more, as of now the track is shutdown for a provincial lockdown.

These are cool trucks. I wish there were more TT options with the solid rear.
I agree 🤌
You helped me a lot with his car. Thank you man.
It jumps well, it'll do the double triple with a brushless setup I'm sure nice video.
Very nice! Reminders me of the first time I brought my traxxas slash to the track.

Yep, apparently the stock spur is out of round somewhat.
@@RCOffRoad76 did it work?
@@hunzacc Yes it did, a lot quieter

I wish tracks would have more classes. Most people who go to the tracks have more than just their race buggy.

It does fairly well I’m sure with some clay tires it would rip!!
Very nice 👍

What camera are you using to record this video?

now the motor is broken and it wont move but i can hear the motor moving
what battery did you run it with?
Decent run from the rampage pro! Is there a 'bring what you want' day or practice day to just run some laps?

Is that your own track i have seen it in so many of your vids
I don’t own it, I just go there weekly when it’s open.
@@netcruzer ok that makes since just see you always there
Great stuff, I am so pissed I could not join you.....
