Great episode! My first trip to Vegas in 1996 was a stay at Mirage. Great memories. That summer there was a high end Italian restaurant at Mirage that was off the charts. I'm back in Vegas the end of June and will visit one more time!
Hoping Jon a speedy recovery. Interested if he has any outtakes and/or take-aways from the Yankees & Royals series from this week. Look forward to your episodes always thanks guys!
Hey Bill. Thanks for the video! Speaking of small family run places , give Don Michaels a try. I went there for veal, which was very good. Mom and pop place. She takes care of the ten or 12 tables and he mans the cash register. I judge Italian places on their veal and it passed the test.
Home games typically get busted because they compete with some other interest. So, for example, Dallas card rooms get harassed because Oklahoma Indian gaming interests bribe local officials to harass them. The same thing happened in Arizona. Phoenix used to have a number of mom and pop cardrooms but the DA went after them because the tribal casinos want that business. The state probably also gets a bigger piece of the pie if poker profits are limited to the Indian casinos.
Salute from Toronto Credit card roulette is a classic poker players game We call it ‘swayze’, and you don’t wanna be the loser when you’re at Carbone for dinner with the boys
Thanks for holding it down this week Krack. This show is one of the highlights of my weeks.
