Is it possible to set dynamic content based on Tags within an Audience? We want to send our weekly newsletter to our primary Audience, but add a special callout to those who are not members. We've added 'tags' to all current members.
Great Video. This feature would be miuch more useful if it included tags. I used to have numerous audiences then read that best practice is instead to use tags. So spent a ton of effort tagging my audience members and now it's unclear how that helps me at all. Is there a way to do this with tags. I teach classes but some of them are for specific demographics, i.e. lawyers only, or South Asian only, etc. and others for general public so would be nice to have a single campaign that ommitted the events that the audience member didn't qualify for.
Is this possible to update through automation? Say a Make script creates a campaign and populates results from a previous module in various places in the template?
If you're using a custom template then merge tags can be used in your template: mailchimp.com/help/all-the-merge-tags-cheat-sheet/#Conditional_merge_tags
@@ZEESHANALI-uv4sb If you're referring to custom coded templates and if blocks in those templates can be made dynamic by using merge tags then the answer is no :(
Is it possible to display content from an excel list or MS Dynamics or any other method based on the customer? For ex. if I have a excel list with the customer name in one column and the number of items bought in another, can a dynamic field be set in the email where the customer reads "You have bought 'x' number of items this year." (where x is the number of items).
@@GaryEckstein i need a round up of all the stories on web tagged with science and tech in the newsletter. this should be automted (i.e., pick up new feed)
@@subrahmanyeswararaonalam7067 you can create an RSS campaign in Mailchimp - mailchimp.com/help/share-your-blog-posts-with-mailchimp/ . This will automatically populate the email campaign for you.
Hi Sir, Thanks for this video. I want to send customized pictures to each recipient. I have even subscribed to the premium plan to use dynamic but I don't know how you can dynamically fetch images from the excel sheet into the email design Can you please make a video on this as I am struggling a lot with it?
Is it possible to report on Dynamic Content similar to how you can with a static email?
Why can't we use tags though? The basic audience fields have no value for this.
Surely most people will want to change the content based on user tags?
You're #1, Gary! The best in the business!
Thanks Brady :)

Not easily however this can be done when combined with tools such as Zapier.
In the design section of the email campaign can we use Paste your code/custom made email template for Dynamic Content Option???

Yes. Merely insert a merge tag into your email campaign - mailchimp.com/help/getting-started-with-merge-tags/
@@GaryEckstein Thanks! I will check it out.

If you get your data from Excel into your Audience then you can show blocks based on the field conttent.

Dynamic content based on tags isn't possible?
Unfortunately not. Dynamic content blocks are new in Mailchimp so I wouldn't be surprised to see this functionality in the future.
@@GaryEckstein Still no update on the tags? I mean... it's not difficult to add, the functionality is already there..
