This is Lake Austin (constant level). Lake Austin is downstream from Travis. If you want to get technical, both are The Colorado River. More and more people are moving even further upstream form Travis (also Colorado River), to Lake LBJ, which is also a constant level lake. Lake Travis & Lake Austin truly look like completely different lakes. Lake Austin is much more narrow, no sailboats allowed for this very reason. Travis is sprawling, but extremely prone to droughts and flooding. Travis has been in a drought for at least 4 years now. I can't help but think of the people who bought a home on Travis a few years ago, and have never been able to enjoy it to it's fullest. First world problems, but if you did purchase a home on Travis and the drought ended, it would be a tough call to enjoy it for a year and hope that the rain continued or to sell while the water was high, hoping to recoup your money. I love Lake Austin, and always dreamed of living on this lake as a kid, but it has become unrealistic for me, financially speaking. But, for those of you thinking about moving here, it gets HOT HOT HOT and humid.
Stunning home, but the backyard and outdoor furnishings look unkept, cluttered, and low budget. Considering the price point, this home could benefit from better staging and more tidy landscaping and some elbow grease.
*** This house currently shows as NOT FOR SALE...also original value of the home was 3.4 Million dollar and went up to $25 million because they renovated it and filled in all that junk tha tyou see in the video..including the $70,000 side table......it is 6 bedroom and 5 bath..but we only saw one major bedroom.....you guys need to redo the video...
lovely home and I loved how much tough was put into the design element of the home. but for the price point it all seemed like individual places and its definitely not open.
The outside of the home is gorgeous. However, the inside of the home didn’t sell for me. The interior designing did not sit well with me as a home stager myself. Beautiful Home!! ❤❤❤
That’s probably one of the least attractive houses I’ve seen on the channel, I’m no hater but if that’s the most expensive house in Texas then it must be all about location and not substance. Good luck in selling that. That would have to catch three buses and a four day camel ride to reach WOW factor. Houses a 5th of that price has been shown and more classier….. only my opinion so happy to be shot down ,love the channel, I’m no expert or billionaire…!
I’m an appraiser and realtor in Austin and specialize in high value properties. This is a beautiful house and location, but I think the title of video says most expensive house for sale. I’ve appraised homes well above this price on the same lake. The lake is actually part of Lower Colorado river and is a constant level lake. They partially drain once a year to clean and remove the hydrilla that grows.
@RNN2024 Yes, the kids are fine. Their parents saw something funny that looked kind of like a log, got out them out of the water asap, and then confirmed that YEP, that really was a crocodile!!! Then the city was called to come get it out.
Nice house but man that's one of the ugliest "lakes" I have ever seen, my private lake and pond are much nicer than that but pale in comparison to the actual lakes we have in Michigan. I couldn't imagine paying that much money to live in Texas and on an ugly lake like that. That should be $5 million max.
Very nice place, and Texas is up and coming. Heading maybe to be the new California. My worry though, living on the shore of an inland fresh water lake like this, is mosquitoes! 😬
LMAO I lived in North Dallas for a few years, Texas will never be California. Unless somehow Texas magically gets the beaches, weather and topography of California it will never be like it. Even Arizona is better than Texas.
No mosquitos, but the water level is dwindling because the county sucks water from it for their water supply. They just installed 2 more 10 ft diameter pipes 😩 Many homes are not even on the lake any more - just dried up lake bed.

Terrible. I wouldn't live there even for free. It's just too ugly. Decoration taste-wise is poor. As they say, money can buy you stuff and expensive items, but won't never buy class.

That is gorgeous. It looks like a home and not a trophy
My husband and I got married here in July. The creek it sits on reminds us of Hawaï

For a big home it looks incredibly comfy

Its austin, as nice as they make it look in the video, when you step outside ur stepping into Hell and no one wants to be out there
The decor’s a bit random, no?! Not for me this one
well they did state multiple times the owners went for an eclectic style
@@s_b548 house is hideous. I agree. There’s nothing that shows it’s even worth half the asking price.
**Insert generic comment about how much more space/home you could get in some other random country/location.**
Texas is the place where most people make those kinds of comments which shows how much of an awful deal this is. LOL

Nice house for modern living, would not be my cup of tea either, soulless for me, too modern with no life in it.

There's much nicer looking houses and environments in Texas, but the location is what really drives the price up on this one.
Nah 25M for this def ain't it 👎
Definitely prefer this type of of houses, not those Malibu, Cali or Florida boring square boxes! And lakeside? Sold!
One word: PERFECT!
Beautiful and cozy ❤
Overpriced very awkward house totally respectful.
Кућа са душом,и пуно дјечице🎉🎉❤❤
Outstanding 😮❤😊
C'est un géant qui vit dans cette villa immense de par le hauteur des sous plafonds, des fauteuils.
That lake looks crocodile friendly!! 😅
No crocodiles in Lake Travis. Too far inland. Houston has had at least 1 that I know of - it was someone I know!
@JennyLouRN Appreciate the info! Hope the person is ok.

it doesn't hit 115 degrees every summer in Michigan.
It’s not that ugly
The lake is stunning in person - it’s lush and looks like Hawaï in the creek if you know the right places to go!
Looks swampy!
Thought the same thing, I would not want to swim in it. I’m spoiled by Lake Michigan I guess
Marvellous beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ lovely house
