He is a scientist. Not a zoo keeper. He studies these apes communications and computer skills. He gets grant money to do this and controls the monies for food and housing. He isn't doing a good job as you see the housing and control over these keepers.

Sweet Gentaro looks at his Keeper sucking on his little finger like a human Child. He has the heart of a child. I hope he keeps his sweet and playful nature a bit when he is a grown Silverback. He is a very Special and wonderful Gorilla-Boy. His Keepers did a great job caring for him after he had to be hand reared. I never saw a Gorilla "Dance, hop and laugh" as Gentaro does with his Keepers. They are so wonderful and take such great care of this Gorilla Family. Thank you for sharing this with us. I love hearing and seeing "behind the scenes" videos that give us a unique look into things we never know. Thank you so much for the love, patience and care you all give this loved Gorilla Family. ( incase you never saw them ) 1st one is Gentaro wanting Dads attention and play and he stares at Daddy, Dad just sits there, Gentaro decides maybe a few cute little body and head bobs will get Daddy in the mood! This is really from May 2021? Gentaro looks younger here than usual. He looks like he looked in 2019. Maybe because of the video having that phone resolution. 7:52 - The side bars also look smaller than they do from the other side, further away. Where Momotaro will 'listen' to the zookeeper most of the time. Must be the video resolution.
Gentaro the finger sucker baby boy! He and Annie, Shabani’s daughter will make a wonderful couple they both have playful antiganistic drive by slapping antics while trying to play or get a reaction for someone to chase them but are very loving and sweet at times too!
I don't get the impression Japanese people have the right feelings towards gorillas. That was the man who raised Gentero as a baby but he doesn't show him any fondness thw whole time Gentero was hanging on the bars waiting to talk to him.

Finger boy Gentaro just hanging out. One day I hope gorillas can roam freely around like orangutans. I would love to see a gorilla trainer teach a gorilla to share and bring food and what not to other gorilla s. Would be huge if it were to become apart of a family of gorillas manners, would change the way they think massively but would be a tough go because they eat like dogs until they feel sick and need to lay down. Chimps are the ones rapidly progressing.
