    I'm having my contractor install these all around. They're not theft proof but they'll deter turn thieves away once they see its another obstacles. Cameras Alarm, Bars, oh and Dogs. Better than nothing because RUclips videos showing thieves quickly throw something to break window and get in. But with bars it ain't going to be that easy.

    This window guards are for decoration it will not secure your home , notice that the window's guard brackets remains lose inside the frame after installation, It will be better if the guard comes with steady extendable brackets build in .

      The solid steel mounting brackets extend 5-3/4" inches into the horizontal mounting tube of the window bar. If fully seated no lateral movement should be experienced. We have read many positive experiences from Grisham window bar customers through other social media formats that indicate the value and quality of the product. Once properly installed the window bars are a great deterrent to potential intruders. Thank You for you comments, Grisham Bros.

    These look awesome but do you have anything even stronger resistant to a burglar trying to get in? These are definitely a deterrent though. One more question, do you have something nice that can deter burglars that can be placed over Larson platinum storm doors as an added layer of security? Thanks.

      This variety is our current selection available on HomeDepot.com and are available in black and white. As to an added layer of protection, I have seen the window bars used as an overlay over entry door glass panels. Can use stand-off or flush mount brackets with carriage bolts instead of the safety screws supplied. Hope this helps.
      Thank You,
      Grisham Bros.

    I have double windows, side by side with a plastic frame so I can't mount the two bar frames in the middle. I see there is a pin connector for this but wouldn't it be easy to push those open in the middle?

    • @grishambros7662
      @grishambros7662  2 года назад +1

      There ia a pin connector available and correct not as secure as the standoff connector.

    Are there outside or inside mounting bars that allow for a protruding window air conditioner??!

    • @grishambros7662
      @grishambros7662  Год назад

      We do not have anything available to secure a protruding window airconditioner. There are custom fabrication shops that will make a box that will encapsulates the entire window air conditioner. Hope this helps.

    What is a "non-reversing" safety screw? Does this mean you can never remove it? What if you have to replace a broken window?

    • @grishambros7662
      @grishambros7662  Год назад

      The safety screw is tamper resistant. Allows you to screw in but not easily back out without altering the head of the screw.

      Same type of screw people use on license tags on vehicles, except the screw for window bars will be a stronger type. Should be a special tip tool included with the windows or able to buy off line or good hardware store. The Bad, a crook can buy the same tool also though.

    Can and if so, how do you mount these on a masonry opening? 3:55

    • @grishambros7662
      @grishambros7662  11 месяцев назад +1

      Use a 1/4" masonry drill bit for pilot holes into concrete block or stucco. For solid mortar wall it might be necessary to use concrete anchors. Here’s a link to using the non-reversing safety screws into concrete block: ruclips.net/video/K5gFVdFJDTM/видео.html Hope this helps.

      Actually the window bar units are very strong, and the mounting brackets are made of solid steel. Very resilient to forced entry.

      Several major kicks would also break through the walls, but burglars don't want to make noise and risk getting shot so they will not mess with burglar bars. Bars are simply a deterrent. If you have bars and your neighbor does not, guess who's house is getting broken in to?

    • @grishambros7662

      Can be mounted onto stucco as long as you can penetrate a solid backer which is either wood or cement. Hope this helps.

      Ayush,The window bars would need to be anchored to the surrounding exterior window frame or exterior wall structure. Can be achieved using the flush mount or 3" inch projection brackets.Thank You....
