It sounds like Keith stayed in character even in the interview. He sounds just like Marvin when he's speaking.
Keith doesn't sound like Marvin at all. I suppose they considered his voice because he is a good singer, but there is no way he even looks like Marvin. His facial features are too different. Hiw wonderful that Zeola write the play. What a great choice to select the gentleman to play old man Gaye. He is an excellent actor.

this play sounds VERY interesting. i wonder if Keith lip syncs to his music or if the play is just acting and dialogue. Congrats to Zeola for tellin the story. hope this gets MORE publicity!!

It is 2016, the first time I ever heard of this play. Was it ever recorded as some of Tyler Perry's plays are done? If so where can I get a copy? I really would have like to see this play. Was it ever in Atlanta?
+Elaine Crenshaw it toured the country for over a year. I'm pretty sure it hit Atlanta. If it was filmed, I doubt it was distributed. It was mostly recreations of Marvin's hits. It was very entertaining and Keith Washington really nailed it.

When I first heard keith speak....he did sound just like Marvin....but as you continue to watch this video.......hmmm....no he doesn't sound like Marvin......but nonetheless...it might have been wonderful to see this play........

I love Marvin Gaye.he is the best.I'm sayin He is..not he WAS because..even today..noone does music has he did.And we still listen to his music.R Kelly is a genius,almost at the same level.But people cant recognize that or give him props cause he doesnt respect himself.He does not sing mature music.Sometimes it hard to beleive that he is the same person who did songs like ''Happy People,Step In The Name Of love''.then you have Thoia Thong.RIP Marvi
