I agree that Michigan paying that absurd amount of money for Underwood will have a huge ripple effect across NFL and college sports contracts. Michigan just effectively raised the pay scale for every elite college athlete deserving of NIL money.
I totally disagree that LSU is un trouble for next year, and Nussmeier is toast. I remember watching Burrow in his first year in 2018 and thinking, he has talent but we have probably seen as good as he will be. Man was I wrong. Swore i wouldn't judge too quickly again. Then came JDs first year. I was screaming at the TV every weekend for him to be benched and Nussmeir to replace him. He couldnt hit the side of a barn door with his passes. Boy was I wrong again. Keep telling myself dont do it, so I'm trying to learn from the past. Nussmeir has an elite arm and a high football IQ. He understands the game. He just needs some maturing. I'm not saying he will be bringing another Heisman for LSU but I think he will be back next year and will be playing at an elite level.

@ first off nah, I heard it was a total of $1.5 Million from an ESPN podcast. Second idgaf how it looks lol. Michigan notoriously isn’t a passing school. They were also gutted after Harbaugh left with a majority of the staff and 85% of their starters & contributors from last year left for the NFL or graduated. They lost more than any other team ever after winning a National Championship. That’s a fact. So, they had to pay to show that they’re going more pass heavy and to reload that roster. That’s the only reason he was hesitant. I’m just glad they made a move, Fans were wondering do we have to resources to compete with a team that’s been doing it for decades like one of the good ol boys from the SEC.
You look on social media and fans of SEC schools who have been paying players for decades sure do get testy when someone beats them at their own game. Notice how much more even the playing field is now that the SEC isn’t the only conference paying players and it’s actually now legal to do it.
