Hi Matt, thanks for watching. I’ve looked at the Duro Cut and will try them, but haven’t yet. First thoughts are that I’d used a lot of the lines, so it would work expensive ( I think it’s more for a “normal” lawn) but I was advised that the lines are very very hard wearing, so I guess I’ll only know when I try it.
Hi, I’ve tried soaking brushcutter line and also durocut line, ( as stihl recommended) but to be honest at this stage I’ve noticed no significant difference. In a while I’ll be testing the durocut again ( after soaking for weeks ) hopefully it’ll be less brittle. Thanks for watching.
You might be interested in this blade brushdestructor.com/ . I have one and it cuts almost anything. The only thing I don't use it for is cutting small trees. I use a saw tooth blade for that. It's a good Aussie made product.
They look interesting, all metal so a lot stronger than the poly cut. I got an Oregon mulching blade a while ago, I’ll give that a try when spring comes.
using a weedeater in short pants. i commend your bravery.
Hey John, thanks for watching.
Long pants are good, but safety face guard / glasses and ear defenders are the must wear items.
Interesting. I’m going to try one of these out. Have you tried the duro cut heads?

Can you use those blades with the stihl fs-55
Hi, thanks for watching. I would think so, the threaded connection should be the same.
Do you find you have to soak the flails? My old boss did. But he’s dead now so I can’t ask!
